If he can't be trusted to do it against Bromley in his main position, what's the point? Better off selling if an offer is there in summer for £30m+ and getting a different back up option since Gordon is main guy.

Doesn’t reflect well on him that half. Looked uninterested and one of our poorer performers. Not that many played well, TBF.

Assuming it was just a tactical switch and not an injury or pre-planned due to him seeing more first team minutes than a lot of these.

If its pre planned its still really weird. Guy should be playing the whole game if not an injury.

He’s definitely suited to a more transitional team than we are now

Atleast that should make him well suited for coming on when we're leading, but lately he hasn't even made an impact then. Might ve one of those who needs consecutive starts to perform, which is not what we need of him, as we have better starting option. That would only really help us in the case of an injury, and none of our current wingers are injury prone.

Can’t be pre-planned surely, Joelinton and Bruno will both play 90mins next games so giving them 45 each keeps them fresh. Barnes won’t start next game.

Tbh I think his first half he was trying too hard, like a player who was rusty and not settled, took shots on when maybe there were better options but I don’t feel he was at hookable levels. I’d have said a word from the manager would have been enough.

It’s not great if the one decent option off the bench is in the managers bad books. We shall see but agree with those saying doesn’t look great.

Players have bad games even the best but the move here hasn't quite worked for him or us . He offers a goal threat but very little else so he's the super sub or the shit or bust option when a games very stretched. I'd move him on and bring in a pacey young player who can play either flank and learn from the pros around him. He's never getting ahead of a fit Gordon and can't nail down the right hand side against Murphy.

His remaining book value is probably what, in the 25-30m range?

Bought for 38m (IIRC) two summers ago

Yeah, but it instantly means we could afford a similar deal.
