Do they normally have FA Cup games on Friday nights? Get us on TV on a Friday.

Absolutely zero chance the plod let this game happen on a Friday night, the fuckers will probably insist on an 8am Sunday kick off.

In danger of being overly arrogant, I really don't see why anyone from a Newcastle perspective would be nervous about this and not look forward to the game. Isak alone is worth more than the entirety of Sunderland AFC put together ffs  And we have a manager and team with a mentality that can easily match or better the energy Sunderland will bring in addition to the obvious major gap in quality.

Worst case scenario the way I see it is a "brave" Sunderland loss with 1 or 2 goals margin. My prediction is that SOL will be empty with the exception 3000 b&w shirts in the stands by the 70th minute.

Bored just imagining the more than a month of building up to it and their treating it like the cup final it is to them

Their biggest game in years is probably our least big game outside of City/United in the league cup since Sheffield Wed last year. Wouldn't hve minded binning the cup off especially if we get to the league-cup semis with the injuries, cant now.

Lewis Miley was 10 years old last time we played them. Kinda weird to think that there will be a lot of young fans who's never seen the tyne-wear derby

Can't wait for this. Been buzzing ever since it was announced.

Without wanting to sound pedantic, he would have only been 9 and a couple months off his 10th birthday. Mad.

It's a huge game for us as well no point getting away from it

The derby was the fixture 99% of fans looked out for when the fixtures come out

For some of our fans but in the bigger picture and objectively its not. A 3rd round tie and a derby match doesn't take precedent over CL pushes and league-cup semis objectively.

Doesn't have to take precedent it's a massive game to any Newcastle fan especially those that live locally.
