Could buy him back on the very cheap , do him up a bit (like a house) then flog him again for maybe 10/20% more, I know I'm dreaming.

The fact we got so much after signing him on a free is an absolute master stroke. He hardly played and when he did (apart from the Chelsea cup game), he didn't impress. I thought we also got decent money for Almiron.

Really wish Kelly the best, came from a very difficult background to become a PL player and now is at Juventus, a great story and he’s a great role model.

He’s not deserving of some of the (older) comments on here

No idea about his background and no issues with the lad personally.

Just didn't see it for him as a football player. Which doesn't say much.

Surely with the Lloyd Kelly deal are we not only getting €4.8m this summer which is fairly insignificant in the grand scheme of things

When you sell you ‘book’ the full fee straightaway, regardless of whether it’s actually paid in instalments.

Why do you always  post negative posts?

Did Eddie mess the negotiations? Questions need to be asked.

Eh? Where did you pluck that figure from exactly?

Lloyd #Kelly will be a permanent Juventus player! A minimum threshold of appearances in the season, easily achievable, has triggered the obligation to purchase. The economic figures: Kelly arrived in Juventus on loan until June 30, 2025 for an initial cost of 3 million euros, to which 0.8 million in additional costs are added. The cost for the definitive acquisition is set at 14.5 million euros, to be paid in three financial years, plus 2.7 million in additional costs. The contract also includes bonuses linked to sporting objectives up to a maximum of 6.5 million, which could increase the overall outlay well beyond 20 million.

Good to know didnt realise this thanks.

So we book the fee in terms of FFP but as its in installments its about €5m extra in the "kitty"

You do realise that isn’t how it works in terms of our ability to spend in PSR don’t you? The agreed fee in full is added to our profit and loss sheet, the actual schedule of payments is irrelevant in that regards, unless the club have cash flow issues.

I don't?

We have made a profit on someone who we signed on a free and was a bit part player at most, we have done really well to get as much as we have for him if it ends up being over €20m

Whatever we are guaranteed this year goes into our FFP kitty.

So let's take a round number of 20m, theoretically we could sign a 100m player on a 5 year contract and that 20m would pay for this year's installment of that deal.

However, it's important to note that wages are included and our total FFP picture may look completely different.

In short, installments mean absolutely nothing to any club, other than for cash flow purposes.

You might think you’re clever, enjoy life rather being a wind up merchant.

Our 'kitty' is virtually infinite though.  It's only what we are able to spend on PSR terms that's important

Aye I am no accountant but we don't actually need the money here the income is what we will out down on the books it's not like we need all the money upfront to sign anyone.
