Controversial opinion but I thought Tino was pretty poor today. Kid’s confidence looked shot by the end, trudged off with his head down.

Not sure that's a controversial opinion.  He was soo weak in many challenges.

Mind, I don't think Trippier is better nowadays as well, his legs have gone.

He's had a poor season if we're being honest. Offers little going forward and the drop off from Trippier to him is stark.

Anyway, we'll probably be alright for the rest of the season with Burn, Botman, Schar and Krafth if needed. Kelly never looked comfortable at centre half or left back, might be suited to a three. The West Ham performance was one of the all time worst.

Tino has not had a poor season man.

Both he and Hall need cover from the wings in matches. By the time we get to 60 mins, Gordon and Murphy look shot which leaves the full backs exposed.

That said, Tino was well off today IMO.

Tino has had a poor season imo. You want him to kick on because he is so promising but he's regressed since last season. It's a shame Trippier hasn't been able to offer adequate competition.

He has and it's not hyperbole. He certainly hasn't kicked on like expected this year. He doesn't look like the marauding right back we signed and isn't as defensively solid. Was in the England squad at the start of the season.

Still young like, and there's obviously talent there.

I think Tino has been solid defensively for the most part this season. He's been poor since getting rinsed by Semenyo, but otherwise I can't remember many wingers getting the better of him before that.

Minging going forward like.

There is something in this too though. Ideally Howe would rotate wingers and bring on fresh legs that are actually capable. It's why we signed Barnes.

Obviously he's unable to build a squad because of PSR so our wingers, who are absolutely key to our press, are shot to bits after 60 minutes and look even more knackered as each game goes on because we have 0 options.

He's been shutting everyone down on that side the majority of the season.

He's been excellent defensively.

A better one on one defender you’ll struggle to find but Tino did look like he was running through treacle at points today. Not one of his finest.

However, Hall had a really weird game too. Seemed to be under strict instructions to keep Traore in front of him. He was pretty much non-existent as an attacking threat as a result. Gave him far too much respect in 50/50 situations too.

Possibly a bit of a tactical over correction after the Bournemouth performance, which has neutered both full backs?

This guy must have some agent... he's looked really poor whenever I've seen him play for us.

It's weird because Bournemouth fans rated him highly too - although even when fit he wasn't often making the first team there.

Don't really understand it.

This is not as positive as I would have liked it to be.

Newcastle are considering a proposal to loan Kelly to Juventus for the rest of the season with the deal then becoming permanent upon certain conditions being met for a fee in the region of €13million to €14m plus bonuses.

Just had a look on a Juventus forum and they are saying its a 3M loan with a 14M buy option that becomes mandatory under certain conditions.

They are fucking livid btw [emoji38]

"Wtf is this shit we are spending Huijsen money on this motherfucker, fuck this shit"

"Totally mediocre, high wages and injury prone on top of that, we are really doing this to ourselves."

Apparently he'll be their 3rd highest earner [emoji38]

If it's a conditional obligation that's not as good. They won't sign him in that case IMO - just plug a gap till end of the season.

Yeah, definitely not as good.

Pretty much means we don't know for certain we'll be getting any transfer fee. All depends on how things go.

I don’t see how we would agree to a conditional loan where the obligation conditions aren’t more or less certain to be met tbh. There’d be nothing in it for us if we did that.

The main worry is if he gets injured.

I imagine a certain number of appearances will be a part of it.

I doubt we’d agree to an appearance based condition given that we know he’s not good enough to barely get a kick for us. Seems more likely it’d be if Juve finish in the top half or something.
