Yeah, I think he's more ready to play down the side, and it comes much more naturally to him currently.

Considering Murphy's age it's well worth giving him opportunities there to see if he can be another option there longer term.

We should still work on his ability to play upfront too though, as he has great attributes for that also if he can get better, and it will just mean he's a more complete and versatile player.

Not to mention with Wissa being out for another month, we really could use the option of a pacy and powerful front man to take the sting off that loss.

Obviously he's not in the same league as Wissa, but it takes a bit of pressure off Wotlemade to be all and everything up front. Also allows Gordon to just be himself, I think he's more dangerous coming in from wide.

Yeah, think last night will go a long way towards that.

He would have won some more trust with Howe, with that showing.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but something I just realised as I was looking at our fixtures.

We host Arsenal this weekend then play away at USG in Champions League. There's less than 72 hours between the end of the Arsenal game til USG match.

Surely Gordon and Wolt play vs Arsenal so I imagine Osula may get some decent minutes at USG. Be grand if he could gain a bit of form from Bradford and make something of himself.

I've always thought Osula had a lot of potential from his brief appearances for us last season, but the fact that Frankfurt were willing to spend £30m on him makes me think even more that there is something to work with there and he's worth keeping. Frankfurt have made some great young striker signings over the last few years

I love the recognition but I find it weird we tried to sell him. I guess it would've only been with a buyback clause.

Apparently it was with a buyback clause, but Frankfurt tried to change it to a loan fee with option to buy, with I'm assuming no buyback.

I like the lad, he's really raw, but there's definitely a good player in there.
