Bit if unrest in the camp?

No just the transfer window is open and everyone is after CP players. Only natural for him to be busy with DF discussing options and targets.

Schar will be out for 3 games max, it isn’t a big deal. People really run with these narratives it’s wild.

It's not a big deal in isolation, but it's a big reminder of how thin we are at CB. Imagine if it was a major injury and we were going with Burn, Kelly and Krafth for a couple of months? Probably fine in games like Saturday holding on against Southampton but the top 8 clubs would fancy that.

We generally have too many centre backs, the quality is questionable no doubt and the injury’s in the medium term present challenges but come Christmas we will have more defenders than we know what to do with.

We’ll have 2 coming back from CL injuries, a new one now also future proofs us to a degree as Guehi is part of the spine for years to come (if it’s him we get).

For 6 months. Krafth, Lascelles, Schar and Burn are all in their final year. IMO probably only 2 of Krafth, Lascelles, Burn and Schar will end up staying. Only have Botman and Kelly on long term deals. So there might be a glut for a few months, but then a problem next summer. May as well fix now.

Rather we address right wing first, yes we need to address right centre half but it’s something I’d do next season. At most I’d sign someone who can learn from Schar to develop.

I expect Kraft, Schar and Burn will all get 1 or 2 year extensions. We simply cannot afford to let serviceable players leave and to have to shell out transfer fees for replacements.

Yeah, I agree, especially if we get into Europe.

Should we not be successful and get Guehi signed, let's hope we don't sign Gomez in desperation.

Even the scousers don't rate him.

I'd rather sign no one for sure.

If we don't get Guehi and sign Gomez given Mitchell has claimed he treats the owners money like own, I imagine he spends 75% of his wage on booze and pizza in the first weekend.

I'm in this post and I don't like it

Don't believe for one minute we'd spend £45m on a 27 year old Gomez. I wouldn't even spend half that tbh.
