No issue with being in for Guehi. My issue is waiting until the first week in august, in what's been a disastrous summer, to start negotiating with the biggest bellend in football.

The idea that Parish will in any way let us have Guehi for anything other than a robbery on their part is ludicrous. He'd rather let Guehi go to Liverpool for free next summer than sell to us for a reasonable price.

While im sure Guehi is interested in a move, hes going to cost alot more in wages than 12 months ago, since if he waits a year he will get what he wants from who he wants.

I just see this one at all. Would love it to happen but it wont.

should have totally been earlier. At the very latest, we should have put in a bid as soon as Liverpool started tapping up our player to fuck with them.

Okay, someone who is supposed to be really interested then doesn't join us. Again.

We needed to agree a fee with Palace first Kenny lad.

once again, you are misremembering. He didn't join us because Parish is a cunt, and had a bit of leveragewith Guehi's contract at the time. Now Parish has much less leverage. but this should have been done much earlier in the window.

I'm sure if he really wanted the move he could have nudged Parrish into selling. If we offered around £60 mill as was rumoured.

Thanks for reminding me about the dementia. Forget everything these days.

He's the club captain. Maybe he was just honouring his contract and keeping his head down and cracking on with the job he's paid to do. Unlike our number 14.

Maybe or maybe not. I'm losing interest now actually. Going to the pub.

Looks like he acted the consummate professional.

Exactly. Got on with it and acted his salary - a thing a certain someone in this club should learn from. I have no doubt Guehi gets the move he deserves and I'm sure Palace fans will not feel hard done by either. Not really difficult is it?

He's twenty-five years old with his whole career ahead of him. From his perspective, it 100% makes sense to honor his contract, leave on good terms with the supporters and varnish his reputation, and have his choice of clubs to sign with on a free. It's not like he gets a cut of the transfer fee if he's sold for fifty million pounds or whatever.

Even if Crystal Palace wanted to sell, why would he want to move now when he could go anywhere he wants on whatever terms he wants next year. The only reason he would agree to come here now if we were his first choice for next summer anyway, which I assume isn't the case.

I reckon we should pay up so he can Varnish his reputation here.

I know that clubs are not meant to tap up players but surely before you start negotiating with the club you find out by hook or by crook either from the player or their agent, the only thing that matters, are you open to signing for NUFC for a contract of x amount of years at x amount a week. Does Guehi want to sign for us if we can do a deal with Palace?

Nothing else matters does it?

Yeah, from what we're hearing/reading we get that green light but the agents are seemingly shopping our deal or anyone's deal to the highest bidder and we're going after competitive and coveted players.
