The point was you cannot be too reliant on stats. So the example was maybe stupid (as was intended) but the point wasn’t. Shame you couldn’t understand that but we shall move on

No the point was you don’t understand expectations.

"Newcastle have other targets not in public domain" is going to be the line of the summer isn't it?

It’s their way of covering bases if we sign someone they haven’t named.

All the local journos doing the same thing now. Reporting the exact same story but tweaking it ever so slightly to make it look like they had an idea when they don't have a clue. Douglas adding that it is £40 to £45m and Downie saying we have targets not in the public domain.

Other than Ornstein, none of them have a clue.

No chance imo, we can’t afford them and everything else we would need.

Then Pedro makes no sense, if we are after a RW, wich the Elanga bid tells us. Or we can believe Bailey (wich I do not) turning Pedro into a RW.

Forest value him at £60m but "don't want to sell"

Confused by that part as well.

Personally think they'd sell at anything close to 60m

It makes no sense financially, we where never going to be able afford both surely ?

Yup, all these journos are getting the £60m fee from somewhere. Just seems like Forest negotiating as anyone would

But RW is a priority position wich the Elanga bid is a proof for, and we are advancing with Pedro if we believe the reports.

I like the idea of Elanga, providing we get someone like Joao Pedro in

Doubling down on Howe's style whilst adding some quality and guile through the middle

Only question I have, will Elanga get the absolute best out of Tino when he moves back to RB?

We've seen how effective Tino is on the left with a good LW to work with. I know Elanga is very 2 footed, but not sure how often he would be cutting in / making space for Tino to cause havoc

Aye, I never really believed the Pedro one tbh, although if we got both we would be in a fantastic position.
