One of the most dissapointing and frustrating games I've watched us play in a very long time. 2nd half was awful. Devoid of creativity and ideas.

Wish Brighton well in chasing Europe. Our squad looks miles of top 6. Not sure we'll actually get there unless FFP/PSR is scrapped and PIF go balls deep.

Isak unfit and Barnes should have started, but we dominated the game and if we play like that for most pf thevseason we'll challenge for top 4.

 

It's just annoying we've already dropped the ball too many times at the start of the season.

Yeah, it's a cliche but the manager can only provide a platform for them to create chances, he can't put it into the net for them.

Nothing wrong tactically at all, it was the front 3 not putting it away, created enough chances and didn't give Brighton much across middle of pitch or at back. Need someone to have a bit of scoring form, Isak or Gordon

Another performance that'll be massively influenced by the result, the difference this time is that Everton felt like a special case in shocking end product, today makes it look like a worrying pattern. The finishing was woeful and as you would expect against good teams happy to sit on a lead from a runaway goal, we paid the price. 

 

That game should never have been allowed to go that way, we created 3 or 4 huge chances and made a dog's dinner of all of them. This can't be allowed to become a pattern.

But for a gift of a penalty against a L2 side we'd be 3 games without scoring and 2 of them are home. Mentality of the side just looks weak.

Our disastrous transfer business last couple of windows is partly to blame, but who owns that debacle? Has Howe not been backed or did he insist on the fruitless chase for Guehi? Did Howe say it was ok to go into the season with Isak/Wilson and a clearly unprepared Osula? Who decided Almiron/Murphy would suffice for another season? It’s a huge ask for this team to get into the top 6,

Frustrating but how often have we sucker punched other teams and then held on. Played at our own game. Need something to click and maybe fresh blood in Jan. Positives Hall looking a solid player as is Livramento, thought Joelinton did his job well, Burn up for it, Tonali has top awareness of what's around him and  Collective Pressing and Intensity looks back at leats

This. There's been issues this season for sure but I thought we played well today, just couldn't finish the chances we made.

Just crazy subs seems the easy target tonali mind every game without fail he comes off for either Willock or Longstaff. 

So we went from two centre mids that can find a pass to one then he takes off bruno leaving us with none it's laughable.

Brighton got the luck we didn't.  The ref was generally poor (Veitman's dive being one bug example). The players are lacking some belief and confidence. Eddie isn't sure of his best 11 and won't change tactics that aren't quite sparking into life. First half we were easily the better side second half lost our way . Taking Tonali off seemed to make matters worse. It's time to cash in on either Barnes or Gordon ( for me I'd be selling Barnes) and strengthen the first team quality in other areas that are fundamentally lacking. We've payed the price for a poor summer window and dropped 5 points in two games we should have won based on the lions share of the play.  Time for everyone to show what they're about.  Some very high paid staff and players at the club time to get creative we need a mini rebuild here.

Just need to start scoring a couple and get the confidence back. Especially Isak and Gordon. 

 

Performance itself wasn't really any cause for concern. 

 

Just shit it was against a rival.

Our ser pieces are baffling like, even with Trippier on them they went to shit. 

 

Irritates the fuck out of me seeing sodes like Arsenal, or Conte's Tottenham making them look a piece of piss.

Going to pay for a really poor summer transfer window. This side is miles away from finishing top 6 as things stand. Even top 10 looks a push.
