The actual scousers who follow them have the paranoia that Liverpool as a city has been shat on for decades, and therefore so has their football club.  And tbf their paranoia absolutely holds water:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-16355281#:~:text=Margaret Thatcher was urged to abandon Liverpool to,Cabinet discussions following the July 1981 Toxteth riots.

The legions from Truro, Tromsø and Tripoli etc are sad-sack glory-seekers who have a sense of entitlement because they only followed the club because of the weird ego-boost they get from 'following' a winning team, so when they fail to win it seems to directly impact their ego.  They can collectively be ignored for being a weird collection of micro-dick sad cases.

As a city they might have been shat on, as a football club they've been lauded as national icons. Their fans just can't get enough adulation, they think it's their god given right.

Thought 3 points were there for the taking, but have to be happy with how it ended. Trying not to think about how it's 2 points from West Ham/Palace/Liverpool. Just a proper good match to be at too though, thrilling stuff.

You can't think like that about fixtures IMO, they're all individual. People who worry about "well we didn't beat Palace, so now we have to beat Liverpool" are tying themselves in knots for no reason. It's not how football games work.

watching their goals on MOTD so annoying . Ball bounces back luckily to TAA for their second and Burn slips for their third. So unlucky.

I know, but I have intrusive thoughts about how that joyous equalizer just took us back to still 1 point worse than we thought we were 2 mins before the Palace game ended  It's not my primary feeling, but it creeps in.

Why can't we play like this more often - cannot fault the performance. Only reason they were in the game was because of Salah - he's just World Class.

Having the season of his life at 32, while having been incredible for ages before that as well is some feat. Not that there should have been any doubt before, but he's nailing his position as the best PL RF/RW ever down. What a player he is

I mean there's no way Mike would have been OK with that.

Fly 000s of miles to watch Isak inexplicably spurn open goal tap-ins. Doesn't sound that that appealing tbf.

Significant deflection on Jones goal as well.

Weirdly never showed it properly on TV. Thought it had given Pope’s reaction.

They’re class like and we went toe for toe but not getting the result when it was there is so frustrating.

Yeah, I was right behind it, looked an impossible angle so knew it must’ve come off Burn to go in the near post. He was hitting it across.

Feels like so much happened in that game it's hard to unpack  you'd be hard pressed to create a short highlights reel.

It was like the complete opposite of the Palace display, gutsy, positive, loads of quality and we can feel unlucky only to get a draw. Then again, we always seem to play canny and get edged out against Liverpool so got to be pleased with the point.

Really was closer stats wise. I know xG is subjective, but it's actually great we were so competitive and with attacking intent and outcomes given not even registering a shot against Palace. Mad how we can go from that to this against Liverpool in a strong title charge position and form.

I've just watched it again, it's a very small deflection but not significant.

Ian W needs to go Specsavers.

That vvd on Gordon is red and a penalty. Shocking. Ball is in play .

VAR don't even spend 10 seconds on it, and Prime brush it off like it wasn't anything.
