I've just watched it again, it's a very small deflection but not significant.

Ian W needs to go Specsavers.

A deflection is exactly that, a deflection.  Even a slight deviation from close range is going to leave the goalkeeper no chance.

The original path of the ball is to Pope's right, it ends up going in over his left shoulder. Would have been saved.

Just watched it on YouTube at 0.25 speed, so I'm not prontonising.

As a city they might have been shat on, as a football club they've been lauded as national icons. Their fans just can't get enough adulation, they think it's their god given right.

Agreed mate

Watched on Amazon, at the end of the match when they are interviewing Howe there are some chaps doing drills on the pitch. Have seen this happen a few times after games.

Why and who is training at 10.00pm?

Warm down for the subs who didn't come on.

Was also limited (by choice? We'll never know) to extended highlights. Isak looked absolutely stupid in that first half.

Goal of the season for me. The strike was as good as Barnes', arguably better, but the build up was lovely too. And you can't beat a strike that just keeps rising. Only regret is that it didn't go in off the bar.

What a couple of megacunts on comms. Shakespeare missing the save by Kelleher on Murphy’s shot. Talking about scripts. Called Isak Anthony Isak twice for some reason. Started to blame Liverpool’s lethargy on “the breeze”, also saying “well they’ve had a lot of games and it’s not fair”.

Straight after Gordon scored he goes “he’s a Liverpool target”. Gordon literally said as soon as he came back for pre-season that the Liverpool stuff was bollocks. He then signed a new contract. His celebration was also in reference to the levels of bollockery that that “speculation” was, but yeah bring it up 4 months after it’s been put to bed.

Just endless droning, mind numbing stats about Mo Salah. No one cares mate. You need to learn when to keep quiet instead of filling every second of airtime with yet another pre-rehearsed soliloquy. Oh and Upson. Tonali WAS motm. Can’t be motm if you only show up for 10 minutes.

Thought they created some excellent chances and probably should have scored more compared to us. That's all I meant.

Also said "little unlucky" - I mean why jump all over that and use hyperbolic emotive term like it's "mad" to you. I will check myself in to the nearest psychiatric ward tomorrow showing my post

Gordon's first big chance, Murphy Hit the post, Murphy 1 on 1, Isak's marginal offside and probable penalty are big chances that quickly come to mind for us too. Not to mention I think VVD was "lucky" not receive punishment for his deliberate and cynical foul on Gordon.

Just watching again. Their keeper leaving that free kick at the death, not anticipating anyone coming in on the back post, man  what the fuck was he thinking

They’ve got some fantastic quality up top but Salah is everything, as is Trent who may also be leaving.  Darwin etc aren’t all that, when he leaves I don’t see how they replace a player like him

If the owners are willing to invest then they will be able to replace them. Maybe not like for like but if your coach is worth his salt he will find a way.

Anything been called out in the papers about the ref and his inability to allow a break away final attack?

We are not a cartel club so don't count on the media to do or say anything.

I’m sure they will get a top player, but Salah for what he does year in and year out is irreplaceable

They will need to reshuffle without a doubt. They won't find a winger who can score as many as him, that being said they lack goals from a centre forward let's hope they don't get any ideas about Isak.
