Turnbull2000 Posted Wednesday at 22:16 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:16 What happens if we play Spurs in the final? We always lose 2-0. It's a rule of the universe. But then it's Spurs.
jack j Posted Wednesday at 22:17 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:17 You'd think spurs hadn't won a trophy for as long as us the way some people go on. Was only 2008 since they won a cup

geordiesteve710 Posted Wednesday at 22:21 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:21 Don't really fancy us in the semis at all. Hopefully Man Utd get through tomorrow and we draw them. Would fancy 9,000 of our lot to make it like a home game. Any of the other 3 beats us with ease over 2 legs imo

We have already beaten Spurs and Arsenal at home this season and drew with Liverpool. We won’t be favourites, but we certainly have a very good chance. Not sure how the bans will affect us, but feels like if we play well, we can get through against any of them. Liverpool would be the biggest hurdle, and winning over two legs against one of the cartel is never going to be easy. So there is that.
Pearljam10 Posted Wednesday at 22:24 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:24 Yellow cards again remain competition-specific in the cups. A match ban is picked up in the cups after two yellows in different matches, applied the following round. These are wiped after the quarter-final. Receiving a red card in cup competition can rule you out for Premier League matches.
PRL Posted Wednesday at 22:24 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:24 I think we will get through whoever we draw in semis. We will play full strength and it’s in the middle of the European, FA and important league games. Could do with signing a RW to make sure

Ginola14 Posted Wednesday at 22:26 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:26 hate to be feeling negative after the team played so well tonight but I'm absolutely gutted Bruno will be suspended - for what, 2 yellows? (ridiculous if so) like I don't think we've ever won a game without Bruno in the last 2 years (possibly one or two but we're a different team without him either way) Schar also a massive loss considering injury situation and Botman likely needing to be eased back in Arsenal and Liverpool can so easily rotate and still beat PL sides, doubt we could've done the same Great to be competing again but gonna try not to get my hopes up too much, we're pretty big underdogs now imo

Maybe a hangover from an 80s youth but I hate them so fucking much Wouldn’t it feel good to beat them at Wembley then. Fuck it, we need to forget the past and just go for it! timeEd32 Posted Wednesday at 22:29 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:29 We play Spurs away the weekend before the first leg, so potentially the same situation as the Chelsea round. Man United play Liverpool and Arsenal (FA Cup) surrounding the first leg. Arsenal play Brighton and Man United (FA Cup) surrounding the first leg and Man City prior to the second leg. On a personal note, I just realized the final is later than usual and is on my wife's birthday so I'd say the odds of us being in it and winning it have increased tenfold. The universe is going to force me into some life decision.

Feel like it's donkeys years since we beat Liverpool either home or away, more often than not we get twatted by a large margin at Arsenal. Spurs would be more interesting but I just don't trust us to go there in a first leg and not capitulate as well. Obviously I'd be delighted to be proven wrong.
