[League Cup Final] Newcastle United Vs. Liverpool - 16/03/25 @ 16:30 (Live on ITV & Sky)

It will be forgotten if Liverpool win this, even by them, so I just think its best for the planet if they don't. Even for the mackems who'll not have to worry about us winning anything because it will be done 'if it is done, when it is done, then its better it be done quickly'.

Just saying.

For greater good of football.

I'm sure only Liverpool fans and Sunderland fans (and those we a stupid grudge against us) want Liverpool to win.

Yeah. 33 years and only them two, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and Man Utd have more than one trophy.

Spurs won the league cup twice - 99 and 08

I always get the feeling its a surprisingly large list of fans who hate us. We seem to be a bit marmite-ty to fans of other clubs.

Discovering Villa and Everton’s dislikes came as a surprise to me a decade or so ago - which should be met with the only appropriate response, which is to hate them right back.

No one likes us to be honest.

The media have done well in making the narrative that we are deluded and entitled, and then the Saudi takeover just gave everyone an excuse to hate us.

Apart from being pissed up and jovial piss takers there's no reason to dislike Newcastle as a neutral like

I genuinely don't get all the faux rage about teams nowadays. Sure it's just become a thing since social media and the ability to actively see more fuck nuggets.

I honestly think most match going fans above 30 wont mind us.

Covent Garden’s rammed at the best of times. I know people like to pick popular spots but I’d have absolutely hated being there. Nice to be around fellow fans but I don’t want to be absolutely surrounded and not be able to order something

You could drink in the streets etc but it was just felt bland tbh.

They can fuck themselves, I've found you lot to be passionate about the club and supportive. I'm sure the Saudi angle gave people ammunition but just getting back into English football summer of 2021 I didn't realize there was an attitude that Newcastle supporters were entitled. That's daft.

Today might as well not have existed. Just sat around waiting for tomorrow. 9pm on a Saturday night, looking at the clock thinking can I go to bed yet.

@Rod what we reckon tomorrow then and more importantly what’s your choice of poison for when Bruno lifts the cup?

We are having a little get together at one of our friends place (stop sniggering, it's football related).  However, last evening when I suggested being in our colours for the game I got strange looks.  They usually turn up at this house in their designer clothes (seriously).  They are honestly lovely people but don't understand passion.  My wife and I are going fully in black and white and we are taking "spare" Newcastle shirts and we are forcefully going to make the other guests wear them, whether they like it or not.

We are taking a case of San Miguel, 4 bottles of Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc and a bottle of champagne.  Stuff the rest of them!

Been thinking the same today. Just a waste of time hanging about.

You do you Rod and don’t let anyone stop you. Win or lose I hope you have a belting time and cherish being alive, present and healthy. May the beers and Scouse tears flow this time tomorrow.
