Need to work on keeping the ball and controlling the game. We finished the game with Miley, Bruno and Tonali for fucks sake, yet we can't keep the ball?

Its really baffling

We seemed to be caught in two minds in the second half. If we’d dropped into a low block I reckon that finishes 4-1. Instead we seemed to be willing to sit deep while trying to play, and we just ended up shooting ourselves in the foot repeatedly.

A great three points but a frustrating performance. It felt like we could’ve ran through them and we ended up hanging on.

Yes you dummy, it went from 3 additional goals to 1 goal. Thanks to some really shit play since you weren't watching the match.

Aaah well played i can't compete with that superior knowledge! I was watching it and there was a poor performance un the second half but you can't really talk about goal difference until the game is over! Incidentally how did you become a Newcastle supporter?

Well pleased with the win, will be one exciting run in and we are right amongst it. But the sitting back tactic goes back to the man u game and it invites pressure because our possession isn't tight enough

Second half was shit, but also easy to forget that Forest generally don't lose after going ahead. We made it needlessly hard for ourselves once we were ahead, but I'd like to think it's a lesson learned rather than a pattern. We generally haven't capitulated like that from being ahead, in fact it's usually a strength.

Yeah it’s very odd and the fact it continues when it’s obvious it needs changing is strange. I do think much of it was us just being sloppy in possession though and inviting pressure. The number of loose passes being picked up by Forest. We are so so poor in possession at times.

Oh right. So we should all just be fine with gifting away ridiculous goals then. No bother.

If you can't understand that it was a wasted opportunity to improve further on our goal difference considering how on top we were then I can't help you.

Please stop wasting my time with this bullshit.

What a strange game.  For twenty mins we scored 4 and looked like we were going to keep scoring more. The rest were poor to shocking. Shame we didn't give their GD a good dent / ours a good boost like it looked at one point. Still, great result.

Beat a good team that's above us, gone up to 5th, seven goals, cup final on the horizon but how dare a game of two halves transpire.

Football doesn't work as logically as if you're 4-1 up at half-time then it must be something akin to 8-2 at the end. Overwhelming majority of the time when a games won at half-time the second-hal fizzles out and the losing team gets momentum

We clearly don't practice defending outswinging corners

Or any corners.  We are shocking.  Forest had at least 4 clear headers from set pieces.

Because he’s been really poor all season, and again today whereas the rest of the back 4 haven’t ?

Has he balls been really poor all season. He’s just an easier target than the two players to his right and left (admittedly Burn has had a good season) and Bruno in front who is playing like he’s on Valium.

Harvey Barnes performance after coming on was pretty pathetic.  He never gets into games.

That bizarre moment when he had a clear shot goal side on his right but decided to turn into traffic and shoot with his weak foot
