Why Do People Travel With No Ticket?

Why do people go to the pub to watch a match on the TV when they can do that at home?

Why do people watch the match at home when they can just sit on NO with very frequent updates?

They’d rather not end up on suicide watch?

To be there in case it happens for me. To maybe justify it all.

Was fully prepared to go to Gothenburg for the UEFA Cup final when we lost to Marseilles in the semi, knowing with its small capacity there was a good chance of not getting a ticket and the 98 FA Cup final if it went to a replay.

Likewise. Went to the semi in Marseilles - absolutely gutted.

Flew from Coventry Airport - the terminal was a prefab. £20 return each all in. I was expecting a flying hat and goggles.

Out trip to Brugge  was class, seen villas fan's there and looked proper tame in comparison, remember that square people hoying footballs out their bedroom windows to our fans below.

Remember being in a nightclub walking down stairs and my mate behind me slipped and took me and numerous fans with him to the bottom of the stairs, the bar staff give us all refills and some freebies too, still think that trip topped the champions league ones of late.

Met up with mates from all over in Bruges- trains, planes and north sea ferries. Absolutely class few days.

Particularly enjoy the, mid game, bumps of player's individual threads because slaughtering them in the match thread isn't enough 😂😂

The last standing admin protecting the John Ruddy thread after every other players thread has been decimated following us getting beat.

This is probably my favourite ever thread. Hope it gets to 1000 pages like it deserves to.

Why bother hoping it gets to 1000 pages when it could just get to 999?

One of my favourite ever trips was Bruges away in 2012. Nee ticket but the atmosphere was incredible for 3 days I was there.

Same, that lad in the yellow jacket chant commanding and hanging out the window of the mini square.

And the opposite to the opening question is.

Why do people with no ticket watch the game at home by themselves. Why not go to the pub to see mates and watch it together in an atmosphere with fellow toon fans.

Out on piss in London Tuesday visiting some pals. Eurostar over Wed morning. So many stories and stuff happening. So much fun like. The chocolate and beer was absolutely incredible in Bruges tbf.

You never know what can happen , went to Brugge that year without a ticket. We were just stood in the square a few hours before kick off and someone came over said his mate had bailed last minute and did I want his ticket. Thought it was some sort of scam at first but it wasn't .

The beer was weapons grade. Was a complete state by Day 3, missus spewed up all over the AirBnB so spent 2 hours retching whilst cleaning it up.

Farted in a tobacco shop and cleared the place out, smelt like a dead animal. Blamed it on some fat sweaty bloke who looked far more befitting of the act and then owned up later on. 13 years later and the in-laws still laugh about it.

Because I can comfortably sit and watch the match in my thong, suspenders, fishnet tights and high heels in the house.

But I get sore feet if if I'm stood in a busy pub for ages wearing high heels.

I remember Celtic beat Barca night before our game. Unreal atmosphere in pub, loads of class banter. I was with a group of 5 lads, one of last went missing during game. We found him a couple of hours later, asleep outside our apartment door. The 11% beers did him in. We put him to bed and went back out lol.
