Dancing Brave Posted yesterday at 13:12 Share Posted yesterday at 13:12 (edited) All I want to do is see an open top bus with our players and the Cup pass by. Not bothered about anything else tbh. Why can't they just do that, an open top bus drives from some local hotel through Newcastle city centre to St James' Park let fans in the ground for nowt lift the cup a few dozen time and a couple of speeches and that's it. Everyone is happy. Edited yesterday at 16:53 by Dancing Brave

I wonder if there will also be a bus parade announced? AyeDubbleYoo Posted yesterday at 13:13 Share Posted yesterday at 13:13 All I can assume is that they’ve been told a parade wouldn’t be safe? Or Sela can only set piece events in one location. Don’t really think I’ll go, there’s not enough to keep me interested. All I want to see is the lads parade the cup through town.

Thats all i wanted to do, see them go past, show a bit of a appreciation and head off for a drink or head home etc. Now its a set event , talk about taking the spontaneous emotion away from just rocking up. It’ll need ticketing to control the crowd (e.g. number of medics etc.). Feels like the club are going above and beyond with this - why the negativity? Seems weird to announce this then, when such a parade would eclipse anything else they’re planning.

I assume that's a separate event? I'd rather be at the ground if they were doing stuff there. Never actually stepped foot on the town moor () and can imagine getting to it with my 3 year old son will be a nightmare.

The town moor thing is being ticketed and posted now is because they need to be ably to gauge capacity to plan for it
Iwantcurlyhair2 Posted yesterday at 13:22 Share Posted yesterday at 13:22 Registered our interest. I'm taking part in everything I can and enjoying every single part of it, even booked a days holiday. Should be no negativity. Every thing Sela done has been professional and entertaining. Really looking forward to it.

polkaDot Posted yesterday at 13:24 Share Posted yesterday at 13:24 Sounds like they got Mary Whitehouse and the Vicar of Dibley to organise the town moor event. Hopefully the bus parade goes ahead in the city.
