Based on nothing at all and giving us draws in the last three games as the only points from the rest of the season, I ended up with this as the final league standings... at this point, I'd very much take it!

(... it would also be hilarious seeing Arteta crying from losing the title on the last day as well, but I for obvious reasons I'm more concerned about our fate )

Love a league predictor, this is what I get:

No chance Arsenal win all 5 games, they've bottled this title and they'll drop more points

Hope you're right about Spurs but think they have at least 1 win in them

Weirdly I think based on remaining games and possibly if Rodri is injured for City then I still think Arsenal win the league and Spurs stay up.

Arsenal will batter us this weekend to boost morale and goal difference. Which will help them gain some momentum for remaining games.

Spurs will beat Wolves especially now they are already relegated and what little fight they had for a few weeks has now fizzled out. Which will give spurs the boost they need to get points in other games also.

It's the games left for me, if they had any tough games I'd agree.

They are home to us which is a home banker.

Then home to Fulham

Then away to West Ham

Then home to Burnley

Then away to Palace

Newcastle, Burnley, Palace should all be pretty much guaranteed points. The other two maybe less so but they still aren't hard games on paper. Away to West Ham is probably the hardest as they are fighting to avoid relegation, but they are also fighting against relegation for a reason. But yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they still managed to bottle it.

Funny club Leeds. Everyone says that they're one of the biggest clubs but in reality they've been a 2nd tier club for nore of their history, have never averaged over 40k in a season before and their all-time trophy count is 7, 6 of which were won during a 6 year period under Don Revie. Other than those 6 years, other than 1 league title they've done pretty much nothing other than bobbing up and down between the 1st and 2nd division, and occasionally the 3rd. They aren't even the most successful club in Yorkshire. That title goes to Sheff Wed.

I think it's cos their fans have a bit of an edge about them, although not as much now, that people see them as bigger than they are. I'm guilty of it myself as Leeds is one of the games I look out for.

We aren't great but I wouldn't say we are necessarily an easier game than Bournemouth right now, who just beat them at home last week. Any team from 6th to 16th can beat each other at the moment.

Bournemouth are currently on the best unbeaten run in all of Europe's top 5 leagues (14 games), we've lost our last 3 games to Sunderland, Crystal Palace and then Bournemouth so at least one of them were a good team.

Sadly agree. Like you, West Ham is the only game I can see them maybe squandering but I'd still be shocked if they did.

City have Everton and Bournemouth away as well as Villa at home. Much harder set of games unfortunately.

I'm not saying Bournemouth aren't a good team, they are clearly better than us at the moment. I'm saying any team from 6th-16th can take points off anyone at the moment and that it's wrong to say that we are a banker three points and Bournemouth aren't. Leeds drew with them two days ago.

On form we are light years worse than Bournemouth at the minute. I really wish we weren't and we shouldn't be, but we are. They've also just beaten us, with us home to hammer that point in even further. Leeds are unbeaten in 5 in the league so are actually on pretty good form unlike us and still only just scraped a draw versus Bournemouth with a 97th minute equaliser in a game where they were second best. I broadly agree just about anyone in the league can beat anyone else on their day, but it's about the likelyhood of that and us beating anyone other than the bottom 3 at St James on current form feels pretty unlikely.

On paper I get it, what you say makes sense but what you have to factor in is how they bottle it time after time and right now the PTSD has kicked in hard

Their fans are losing it, the players are too, just a massive head loss and they won't recover from this now

Yeah I 100% think there's a chance they just implode, very hard to call either way honestly but if I just look at the games one at a time that's what I get.

Any team can take points off any team at any time. We've beaten Man City, Spurs have beaten Man City. Bournemouth have just beaten Arsenal. Wolves drew with Arsenal. West Ham drew with  Man Utd home and away etc etc.

However if you said to Arsenal or Man City you can choose your next opponent between Newcastle and Bournemouth I reckon they'd both rather play us.

Absolutely no doubt about that, most teams will see us as a walking 3 points, our World Cup players are clearly looking to that and making sure they won’t get injured
