Too many, far, far too many really, but still only 9 out of 33. 80 + definitely should be counted as late but I take your point. I’ll be worried from 80 minutes as well as 85 onwards then

Coffee_Johnny
This gives a slightly different perspective on our proneness to late goals. Including cup games, we have scored 26 goals and conceded 25, from 71 mins onwards. Couple of things stand out for me re leaking goals, the number we concede at the end of the first half 41-50 mins, and how many we have conceded beyond 90 minutes; some real sucker punches. Plus how many we score/few we concede in first ten minutes.

Yeah just from gut feel it felt like we often score around the 80 minute mark, but then concede even later than that. that graph kind of shows that. If you didn't know better that would suggest the players were switching off or a lack of fitness. People often bang on about keeping it tight just before halftime and we don't look very good at that! AyeDubbleYoo
Possibly because we can’t dominate the ball and are prone to mistakes, teams know that if they keep working until the whistle they will get chances.
bobbydazzla
We come out all guns blazing but rarely get a decent foothold because we’re not good enough in front of goal. Teams know that unless we’re 3 nowt up after 20 mins they’ve got a good chance of scoring at least a couple and taking home the points because we run out of steam and also defend like clowns. So they just soak up that initial pressure and then make us pay from middle of 1st half onwards. Repeat ad nauseam. Armchair Pundit
Based on nothing at all and giving us draws in the last three games as the only points from the rest of the season, I ended up with this as the final league standings... at this point, I'd very much take it! (... it would also be hilarious seeing Arteta crying from losing the title on the last day as well, but I for obvious reasons I'm more concerned about our fate )
Superior Acuña
I sacked off that Uncle Jeff coeficient thing (how we were doing in like for like games) cos it got too depressing eventually. Think we're now on -21. On the bright side we can only drop 3 more, since we lost all but one of our remaining games last season. Win them all though and we could go up to -9! mayubeproud
If we didn't face Chelsea in March, who is in even more horrible form than us, we would be on 39 points now and not safe yet.

If we didn’t concede all of those late goals we’d be second. I’m sure you must know that this makes absolutely no sense. The “if we didn’t do that” logic could last forever, in the good and bad column.
Superior Acuña
Also that week we drew at home with Barcelona and the previous league game we beat ManU. I daresay we could've beaten a lot of teams that weekend we played Chelsea, it's after that things crashed.
Chicken Dancer
I often wonder if the sunderland game and beyond would have been different if it wasn't a total annihilation in the second half in Barcelona. It couldn't have done much for the confidence levels.
Decky
Jokingly said a couple of weeks ago that Leeds will finish above us. Not looking like a joke now is it.
The Prophet
Pretty much one from Forest, West Ham and Spurs now. Any of them would be funny for different reasons, but Spurs would be be fucking superb.
midds
Bookies make it pretty much a 50/50 between Spurs and West Ham. Spurs are 4/5 and WH are 5/4. Forest are 9/1 and Leeds are all but out of it

Im growing in the belief that the Barca game did untold damage to Eddie and the players.

Casey
Not sure where else to post this but gotta say I'm chuffed for Leeds staying up (practically even if not officially). Think out of all the teams in the league they're the closest to kindred.
Decky
Leeds need to get established in the league and not fighting relegation every year. A proper club that should be in the league every year and not one of these useless yoyo clubs like Burnley, Norwich, West Brom etc. hope to see Blackburn back soon too and delighted to see Coventry back. CallumG6
Agree on the Leeds point. Fans are cunts at times, but you want the biggest clubs in the top division, Leeds are definitely one of them. Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford aren’t and would love to see them go sometime soon.

Benwell Lad
Because we have really been cheated out of an exciting end to the season - you know that time when you're not only supporting your own team but also supporting other random teams who are playing your "rivals", I'm going for us needing three points more to ensure safety just to have a bit of late season excitement and anxiety.
