Those are their points from their last 4 games, not what I expect them to get going forwards, they only need 3 more than us between now and the end of the season to catch us. Spurs getting 8 more than us is the unlikely event. Given Forests form and the form of the teams they are playing 7 points would be reasonable from those fixtures if I was to guess now, but who knows. I'd not be suprised if we got 0, but on paper none of our games are awful so I'd expect us to pick up something.

Like I say I don't think we're going down but I do expect Forest and Leeds to both finish above us and it's not an impossibility if Spurs somehow pull out a very unlikely run. We have 2 relegation 6 pointers coming up, playing Forest and West Ham, hopefully we can get up for those.

Ah, fair enough, I was gonna say…

I think it’s quite unlikely we’ll get 0 points. Each individual game I can very well see us losing, but I don’t think it’ll happen all 4 times. Could, but don’t think so.

I predicted we might get another 1 point or 2 max.

Anyone got a link to a fixture computer that you can predict the results for the rest of the season which then builds a league table ?

We'll get three points, it's just at this moment it's difficult to see where.

If we could even grab a couple of draws instead of constantly losing that will do.

Pessimistic but I think we need 1 win to be super safe

I was feeling somewhat pessimistic too but do u really think spurs will go unbeaten winning 3 out of 4 and West Ham will only lose once ?

Our naivety of constantly throwing men forward in the search for more goals towards the end of games costs us massively.

At times we should be concentrating on making sure we get at least a draw and not chasing wins. Keeping our shape and not committing too many forward.

I think this comes from Howe and it worries me that the message will still be we need a win to keeep our Euro hopes alive when it should be we must not lose to ensure safety.

Have a go at the fixtures yourself and see where it leads you

I don't think we could go down. I think it'll be Spurs because West Ham are in form.

But we could very well end up finishing below two of the promoted teams and uncomfortably close to 18th.

It’s crazy this is even a discussion with 4 games to go.

if Villa weren’t in Europa league semi final both sides of spurs game id be very confident they beat spurs but I can see them putting out a weakened side

Spurs are in better form that we are

I get why people are worried given our form, and I think there's a very real chance we finish 17th, but all this chat, both in here and on Twitter, totally misses that for us to go down Spurs AND West Ham need to hit 42 points. At the moment Spurs form suggests that's very unlikely, and West Hams fixtures makes them doing it very unlikely.

This is the main reason why most bookies aren't even giving odds on us going down. It would take a freak run of results from 2 different teams.

think I was overall pessimistic with palace and Leeds results. Gave Newcastle 2 more points with draws v Brighton and Fulham

Depresses me beyond measure that I keep looking at the table in the context of this topic. I know it's unlikely but it feels like we're in 'strangers things have happened' territory and I'm begging for a result asap.

Keep thinking about Callum Wilson at SJP in the penultimate game. :harry:
