This is on the BBC Papers/Transfer round up, and comes from Caught Offside, but if there's even a smidge of truth in this, shows how petty the scouse c*nts are.

Hope or Downie, can’t remember which have already said he only wants us and has rebuffed Liverswamp

Targett and Osula has been pretty bad signings so far. But other than that, pretty pretty good.

he cost 10m, we'd make a profit on him if sold.

fwiw, I think he's got talent and could prove to be really productive given a few seasons, he's still extremely young/raw

Would we? Hmm. Before moving here there was no evidence the guy could score and there still isn’t much. He’s made next to no impression in preseason as a CF. You’d want him to be our Carabao Cup guy this season, the solid third choice, but would Eddie even trust him to start in that based on what we’ve seen?

Debatable, but even so that’s not the metric we should be looking at.

Well Wilson did the sum total of fuck all, so it's not a high bar. But Osula took players on, ran at them and past them, set up a goal I believe, and scored in the cup. Wilson lumbered around like a past-it has-been and showed absolutely nothing that warranted his inclusion. Granted he was usually isolated when he came on, but still.

Osula issue is he has such a minimal amount of game time in adults football and he's 22.

2119 minutes over last 3 seasons is an absolute joke :D It's not going to get much better this season if he stays, so I'm not sure what the plan is. I assume if we had a striker in and Isak situation wasn't what it is, he'd be out on loan by now. But this late in window, clubs will have settled on their loan guys so it wouldn't end up being a good loan move, but he just needs to play minutes.

Going to end up turning 23 at this rate and play equivalent length of 30 adult games :D

Absolutely, a whole bunch of champ and  even lower ranked prem teams would happily pay £10m+ for him purely by being part of a top 6 Prem side.

Plus as before, he has talent, just extremely raw. Should be third choice ideally behind Wissa

Agreed. Lad needs to go and play football.

Miley needs a proper development plan too.

Osula didn’t do any of that when playing as a CF mind (OK, maybe he did a bit against Bromley). Every time he’s impressed it’s been from out wide.

Wilson’s performance away at Birmingham in the cup, as average as it was, was better than anything Osula has produced when playing as CF*

*for us anyway, as @bobbydazzla mentioned, he did look much better in the U21 euros, albeit that’s hardly the same level.

I want Osula to succeed and be a genuine option as CF, not just because he seems likeable, but because he’s clearly got the raw attributes that could make him very good, if he can knit it all together, but he’s got to try and show a bit more in the limited chances he does get centrally.

We should be using him more, can play out wide and through the middle.
I'd have given him the minutes Wilson got at the tail end last year.

It's not, love Wilson and all he's done for us but his body's shot, been so for a while now.

We were effectively playing with 10 whenever he was on.

Osula would have at least offered a poor man's version of Darwin Nunez' chaos
