There's no long term strategy in having Osula or Gordon up front for nearly 20% of the League campaign by choice

And either way, nobody will care if by some miracle Nicholas Jackson plays five seasons for us and scores a hundred goals (I'm not saying that will happen, but maybe the people at the club think he could). Transfer decisions should be made with the next 4-5 years in mind, not one month of one season.

gbandit
Disagree about him being a stopgap, I think he’s a very good fit for us. The issue is it means giving a lot of money to Chelsea for an overpriced player given they want rid of him, it’s near the end of the window and he’s got something like 8 years of contract left

Its just whether he works for us.

The other being Cole Palmer. Bang average

Jackson and Wissa potential mitigate Isak's lack of involvement in the short/medium term. Just speculating but i suspect our long-term Isak replacement wouldn't be either of those two. Doesn't mean we wouldn't sign them though

toontownman
Loan to buy for Jackson makes sense... after we get Wissa. Probably doesnt make sense for Chelsea though lol Also two AFCON strikers isn't ideal.
