A Stuttgart fan on him:

Stuttgart Fan here, replied to someone else with a similar question in this thread so I’ll just paste below

I never watch Isak play so I can’t say if he’s similar at all, Woltemade in my opinion works best if you play him up top with someone who is also a 9 or a shadow striker. He loves playing with his back towards goal and can use his huge frame well to block off defenders. He often receives the ball like that and distributes from there or finds a way to score.

His technical ability is also outrageous fpr someone his size, Look up his Goal against Wolfsburg last year if you want an idea of what I’m talking about. I personally think he will work out great for you guys. It’s clear his Potential is through the roof

Edit: forgot to mention but contrary to what you might think he’s not strong in the air at all. Probably the biggest area where he can and probably will improve”

Sounds familiar. Will look forward to his cup final bullet header 😉

This is exactly what I hoped would happen. A more exciting lesser known quantity with a higher ceiling from out of nowhere.

Just didn't get that excitement from Strand-Larsen. But you can see from Woltemade why he's highly rated. He has a unique quality and his goals are all nicely taken. Plus he looks to have Isak-like close control and hold up.

I'm pleased about this. More so out of relief that we're not getting noone but also not overpaying for JSL. This guy might flop but I'd rather take that risk than play it safe with someone that will never likely hit the heights.

You confused desperation for excitement there bro.

I think as well as his obvious potential you’re getting someone that isn’t really like any player I can think of which makes him very difficult for teams to plan against. Guarantee Eddie is pulling himself raw thinking about coaching him

Get this medical done through the night, register him by 12pm tmoro, get him in a training session, throw him straight up top against Leeds

When does he get to sleep in this scenario? 😄

Nick Woltemade released for discussions

Received an offer from a European club for an immediate transfer.

Shortly before the summer transfer window closed, VfB Stuttgart received an offer from a European club for an immediate transfer of Nick Woltemade. The terms of this offer have prompted club officials to release Nick Woltemade from training and matchday duties in order to hold talks with the interested party about a potential transfer. A decision on this is expected before the end of tomorrow, Friday.

No money left :burn2:

Well it's bollocks really. We can spend whatever we want and balance the books in Jan or early June window. We're not tied to selling Isak for PSR reasons.
