Makes you wonder why they flew him in last night and started the medical immediately, like there was a deadline to hit, but knowing our lot ot won't have happened

Yeah, and there's the international break coming up too so why the rush if we weren't making it in time anyway. Might have though, who knows 😅

I'd imagine the registration involves external parties too, so in all likelihood the club will have rushed it through and did their part, it's whether those external parties did theirs in time.

I'm guessing you obviously can't register him before he has signed, and not sign him until after the medical. How long does a medical take? Wonder how likely it is that they have completed it before 12 today? 🤔

Surely they would have had everything ready to go and paperwork all set up for filing right after the medical?

Unlike Isak's input into the team PR stuff, like the quizes, the fan interviews, the media stuff, hopefully Woltemade will buy into the club, his teammates, the community, like our Bruno has. I always thought Isak seemed a bit aloof or less invested than the others when he took part, probably explains a lot tbh.

To be fair, I would understand if the club has been well and truly spooked this summer. Imagine there were times they were confident on Pedro, Ekitike, Trafford, and Sesko only for other teams to enter the bidding.

He never really showed any sincere signs of giving a fuck about us, tbh. The interview he did with Shearer makes for seriously cringeworthy viewing now.

If he wasn’t registered in time could we try to disguise him as Joe Willock?

And haul him off with a leg missing after 2 minutes.  Otherwise they'd know

Watching that Eddie interview, and trying to read between the lines, watch the body language etc and I think he both wants Isak gone and expects him to go.

I picked up on this too. Weeks ago when asked similar stuff you could sense a hope in resolving things and tried to look more “upbeat” about it all. Today it looked more a “I don’t give a fuck about him anymore” vibe.

Personally believe he's asked PIF to fuck him off as he's a toxic lanky cunt.

Wouldn't be shocked if we ever see Shearer do another interview like that again. Just sets things up for something like this to happen further down the line.

Probably getting him in the country before Bayern or one of the cartel try hijack it

Doesn't look like anyone has linked it, so here is Opta on Woltemade. Sounds like we've got ourselves a diamond here. They've also called it the all-important

"statement signing".

Quote

His 0.25 expected goals (xG) assisted per 90 was the same as the widely lauded Florian Wirtz

.... (the next bit showing Opta are a league above other media)

From a neutral’s perspective, the hope is we get to see Woltemade linking up with Alexander Isak, because what a prospect that could be.

But even if the Germany international ultimately proves to be Isak’s replacement, Woltemade’s arrival should be considered an exciting coup.
