Says a lot about the club that they still refuse to announce it.

Heard they have hired a 1960’s Mini Cooper for the promo shots. Big Wolt and Burn in the front. Botman and Thiaw in the back.

Everyone develops at a different pace. Some players look like world beaters at 17 and then stall out. Others look like bench warmers until their early twenties until suddenly everything clicks.

Willocks hips for example

Surprise inclusion in the team for Leeds.

Announce the signing after the match and after he's scored a hat trick.

Pope in the boot?

Forgot about the Pope. He could just stand and watch as he is sometimes prone to do…..

I think a lot of us are hoping that but that would need a staggering change of pace compared to other signings, from bid accepted to announcement

thought this part was interesting as in why he struggled at Bremen. In the sense it really pinpoints the type of player he is and why he's probably going to be a success here ironically.

There's a lot of similarities with Isak in their all around game and versatility, with some further refining to work on, to become more of a poacher in the box.

When Isak first came in he sometimes played on the left to or just off of Callum, which was a good way to ease him in as he developed further. Think we'll see Woltermade paired with another more traditional 9 at times in a similar manner, as he's further developed too.

Howe previously spoke about the work that went into helping Isak become more of a goal scoring threat. Think we'll see the same work with Woltermade.

Asked if Isak had added a new dimension to his game as a “fox in the box”, Howe revealed that is something they have put a lot of work into on the training ground.

“Yes, I think he has [added that to his game],” Howe explained. “That is something we have tried to focus on with him.

“He has many qualities, the winger comment that I made, he played wide left for us many times when he first arrived so he has the ability to play in different positions.

“When you have those qualities, sometimes you can find yourself out of the key areas, the goalscoring areas, through the work you have done previously.

“It has been great to see him score those goals this year, those goals in the six-yard box. They look like simple goals and the final finish is, but for him to end up in that position, that’s the hallmark of a great striker.

“They may look scruffy, but from the player’s perspective and mine, they are worth their weight in gold.”

Isak has noticeably become a better penalty box striker in the last year or so. Bags way more tap ins than he used to.

Newcastle have of course been drawn away againt Bayern Leverkusen in the Champions League. Are you looking forward to a return to Germany? A country inwhich English sides have a good record against. 1966 World Cup. Manchester United vs Bayern Munich 1999 Champions League final. England vs Germany World War 1 & 2 for example.
