Yeah that's fair on Haaland, I think he's a bit of a strange case in that he's ridiculously streaky aswell, I'd much rather have a Kane/Shearer type who scores most weeks than Haaland who'll score 20 in 15 and look unstoppable but then score 5 in 20. He's always been like that though, it's what's stopping him being a top, top striker in my mind. Although obviously he's still very good!

The wrestling is weird aswell. He's surprisingly easy to bully out of games so I don't know why Pep encourages it, just get the bloody ball into his feet quickly and on the half turn and, as you say, let him run at people.

Apparently with this new formation they play though he's creating more chances for others than ever before. Suppose Pep gonna Pep isn't he [emoji38]

I can see where you're coming from, that's fair.

I think he'd shed that 5 in 20 stuff in a different team but who knows.

I now identify as German.

If I knew Nick would start up front for us next season, that shirt would be all over my body right now.

Maybe we should get Nagelsmann after Eddie leaves.

Have him bring Tresoldi with him to pair him up with big Nick up top. Tresoldi is scoring goals like it's a video game in Belgium. Cheap too.

Or the Stuttgart coach who got the best out of him and is very highly rated.

Sebastian Hoeneß doing great job at Stuttgart, very likely to get bigger job soon. He was linked to Dortmund about year ago, which is funny considering who is his father. If Kovac leaves Dortmund (been linked to England), he is very high on their list. However it’s not great having manager who would jump to Bayern at first possibility.

They seemed to have a good partnership for the U21 last year in the Euros.

Asked why he played Nick instead of an in-form Undav, Nagelsmann replied that they needed a player who is good on the counter…Germany‘s lost.

Nagelsmann said he started Havertz to give him match rhythm after his injury.

Woltemade started instead of Undav because Nick isn't having a good time at Toon right now, and Nagelsmann wanted to give him playing time to help him regain his confidence.

Undav is on a good run and doesn't need any more positive boost this week.

Off topic but Wirtz’ first goal tonight was sensational

Wirtz was magnificent against Switzerland, absolutely world-class.

Involved in all four goals. Two goals and two assists.

This is not Germany's official starting 11 today, but goodness gracious what I wouldn't pay to see us come out in a formation like this for the rest of the season.

Ramsdale / Livramento Thiaw Botman Hall / Tonali Joelinton / Gordon Bruno Barnes / Woltemade

Close offside call robbed him of a nice assist.

That was brilliant from Big Nick

(offside was like Willocks vs Spurs)
