outrageous if so

I don't think they showed a proper replay?

we should also be complaining about it more

There was another elbow in the match too (can't remember who on or by though) and Bernado Silva absolutely volleyed Bruno at one point. I really thought they came in the match to hurt us (or we really badly got under their skin).

Watching the highlights again, we really did play pretty well at times, we were just unfortunate. If we manage to get an early goal there who knows, but can’t see us keeping a clean sheet, so I’d say we’re out.

what is Wissa even doing here ffs

tbh I think we were a) fortunate that this wasn't given and b) they didn't therefore award a penalty for whatever Wissa did here

Wissa made no attempt to play the ball, I was surprised no-one claimed a penalty here and focussed on Haaland's position.

Not sure why we got our smallest player to mark Semenyo, he's a big dude.

Also weird that the ball is allowed to drop down that low right in front of goal. Poor defending all around.

Think it benefits more clubs with smaller squads who are going far in the cups myself.

It certainly doesn't in the league cup because no clubs with smaller squads even make it to January because of the way its stacked.

We made it and we certainly don't have the same squad strength as City f.x.

If City couldn't use Semanyo they would have someone more than good enough to replace him and could just have used Semanyo in the league instead.

We on the other hand really could have had use of some fresh legs yesterday.

I'm irrationally annoyed today by all the people who didn't understand the offside call last night, many of them in the game. 😂

There are some who didn't see that Thiaw was furthest back towards the goal (Pat Nevin was one on BBC), others that said Thiaw and Haaland were grappling each other so that's fine (Henry Winter was one), and a group that said Haaland wasn't impeding Pope, so it's fine - completely ignoring Thiaw.

Journalists and ex-pros - seriously man.

The only thing they can complain about is the time it took.
