I'm expecting them to be 10x better than what we saw last time. Clubs like Barca are usually completely different animals once it gets to the knockout stages.

Could be an absolute embarrassment if that's the case

I think last season we probably win this game

this season we just concede too many goals and miss too many big chances

we probably need to score 3 or 4 as they will inevitably get a few

we also really miss our talisman Bruno, he was made for games like this

they can always move up a few gears and take the sting out of the game

I fear it'll be like the recent City cup games

stopping Lamine Yamal is almost impossible

Zero point in thinking about any formation that doesn’t have Gordon as the #9. It’d be crazy to try anything else for this game.

I think the team picks itself for this game.

You'd expect Barca to have learned, from watching Saturday's City game, that for a possession-based team the Ali-esque rope-a-dope tactic works a treat against us.

Expect a pressing onslaught for the first 25 minutes or so. Concentrate on defending it.  Don't even worry if you go a goal behind. Be confident that we'll tire.  Then keep possession, pass the ball around, get us chasing shadows and chances are bound to come. Hope that's not how it pans out, but that's what I'd be expecting Herr Flick to be telling his players.

Pedri and Yamal are levels above anything in the Prem in terms of technical ability.

We should just kick the fuck out of them and hope for the best

Not a doubt in my mind we come out like rabid wild animals and put them to the sword from the off. We'll know that the previous game against them could easily have gone the other way and the manager will have them pumped.

We did that last time but gordon didn't get the memo. Missed a sitter with a fresh air shot.

I'd go wolte up top and try and get his confidence up.

Elanga and gordon on the flanks let Barnes have a rest.

Not a game to try and get someone’s confidence up. Pick your strongest team available imo. Gordon up top, toss up between Elanga and Murphy RW. I’d probably go Elanga as it was probably his only good half for us in the first game against these.

Not the game to give someone a confidence boost. Business end of the season now. Team before specific players.

Basically our only hope of going through is doing what Atletico did to them. Blow them out of the water at home and hold on for dear life away.

Yeah I’m expecting them to get at least 2 at the Nou Camp

No point in having a good twenty minutes pressing if Gordon doesn't stick it in the net that's when a more natural finisher should be key.

Barca’s biggest weakness is pace in behind.

Yep so cannot be starting a lad who only scores pens and goals against a Sunday league team up top as your centre forward. 😂

The afternoon tea at Matfen Hall could rule some of them out of the match.

Think I should take one for the team and head up for a game of golf (lovely course). It’s been a while and I may well wing a couple with some wayward drives.
