We have no identity, no style of play, no mavericks who can make something out of nothing, no leaders, don't work hard enough, look poorly coached, subs are predictable and often make us worse, pur recruitment since 2023 has been abysmal and Howe no longer improves players. A shirt pull from a corner on Mateta you’d maybe accept. But why on earth are you pulling Lerma’s shirt from a long throw in the last minute, what is he going to do from that situation realistically? Conjo Posted April 12 Share Posted April 12 It's only one game, but I really hope Howe isn't reverting to making minimal changes during a game unless we're behind just because we're back to playing league games only now. I think this game could have gone very different if f.ex at around 60th minute Elanga and Ramsey comes on for Murphy and Miley, and maybe around 70th minute Barnes and Woltemade had come on for Gordon and Osula. But we were toothless as heck. Murphy was having a shocker all game and he only brings Elanga on when we’re down. All the players looked lethargic yet it was Palace that had a European game. Yup, we just cant control games, haven't done for a long time, and we keep giving the ball away and inviting pressure. Doesn't matter if we were controlling it for a portion of the game, fact is we're didn't control it as it's ended up another defeat from a winning position - taking our bad 22 points doing this to an even worse 25.
