sempuki
Obviously no mackem players make the list. I'd be keen on any of them bar Upson who is too injury-prone for my liking.
Nate
Depending on price, i would take Davies, Nugent, Bale, Greg Halford and Ben Watson.
Guest Jambo_T
GARY MCSHEFFERY It seems he scores just about every week for Birmingham. Headers, Left foot, Right foot, long range, short range etc. He looks absolutely top class. But I would say Upson, hes experienced in the EPL and he is a defender, not a bad one either. Yorkie
Nah, not McSheffrey. He won't make it in the EPL. Would love Giles Barnes. Extremely versatile and a goalscoring midfielder/striker with massive potential. Would improve our squad for the rest of the season, and will become a key player in a couple of years. If we were to sign him. I like Nugent aswell. However, buying expensive young defenders from the Championship isn't my idea of good business. We need solutions NOW in that area, we can't be waiting for them to adapt and learn. We've already got Taylor, Ramage, Huntington, Edgar that are doing that. Newcastle Fan
All good players, buts its the price that will decide if a player is a good buy for us or not i would say Bale, heared alot of promsing things about him,and he is young,he is also a defender so he will only add to our squad in a postive way but he won't be cheap.. Don't think he'll ever do the business at the level we are aiming for tbh. Would suit a bottom half team but hopefully we will soon move away from that area. I totally agree, I'd take no Sheffield United players at the moment, and non of the watford ones. The 2 english insternational squad players I would take from Charlton. Delima
How can you profess to know so much about Champioinship football? How much do you watch? No I don't often watch Championship football, and I don't profess to know so much about Championship football. I am merely suggesting players that we could go for. If you read my list again you will see that vast majority of the players are young players with decent reputation. I don't think the addition of them to our club, as back up, or as future players, would do our club any harm.
Delima
If you think the likes of Pantsil, Spector, Reid, El Karkouri and Priskin will ever make it at this club you need your head checking. Pantsil - Did you see his performance in the world cup? Do you think he is worst than Carr? Spector - Do you think he is worst than Carr? And he is only 20. Centre back by trade, he has done better than Edgar, Hutington and Carr at right back. Reid - With so many posters slagging Emre at every opportunity, we can do with a Charlton star player in case Emre is sold. El Karkouri - Better than both Moore and Bramble. Priskin - He is 20 years old only. PS Mark my words, Spector and Priskin will eventually become very decent premiership players.

toontownman
Out of them all I have seen the most of David Nugent. I really think he would be a good purchase not only for his age, his talented with enormous scope and time for improvement and would happily sit back on the bench and learn when Owen is back. Certainly as good as Ameobi, although the testing time will be when he does actually get to play in the premiership. He is different to the players we already have, although isnt the big strong striker that the majority (myself included) currently crave. His price might be too much though and better buys could be had in numbers for the amount being bandied about.
