Jordon Ibe for pronouncing his name incorrectly.

I wondered about that, the e is supposed to be sounded right?

Yes, it should sound similar to "E-Bay". He was born in London, so I am sure they have simply Anglicised the name, but it still annoys me when I hear it.

Thought so, yeah. I've never actually heard him say it TBF.

There was a bloke on here years ago trying to claim that 'Lee Clarke' was a better player than -and should have played more than- one Mr. Robert Lee. I think he left pretty quickly due to everyone essentially just laughing their tits off at his suggestion.

I bet he thinks Colback is the best player we have now as well.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hate it when a goalkeeper does a bit of footwork or controls the ball with a body part other than a hand, and the play-by-play commentator makes some sort of 'outfield' comment... like a keeper couldn't possibly have any footballing ability. I'm not a keeper myself just sick of hearing it. It's not funny and it makes them look clueless.

Clark was under rated in my humble but certainly not to that extent. Robert Lee was under rated too by others not Newcastle supporters. Outstanding player.

The whole SPORTS Bible culture. The obsession and wankathons over Ibrahimovic, Neuer, Reus, etc., the. 'Lord Bendtner' bollocks, 'but can he do it on a cold night in Stoke', 'it's good, but not quite Jagielka' and the like. Just fuck off man.

We were completely spoiled having a player like Rob Lee in our team like. 94/95 when Beardsley was out injured and he started banging them in was absolutely unreal. Ridiculous that he didn't play more for England, I'd have had him ahead of someone like Paul Ince or David Platt every single time. David Beresford played for England more than Rob Lee that season, when he was arguably at his best. Steve Stone played more than him the following season, absolutely ridiculous.

He played for Oldham. I'm still wrong like, I was looking at All Internationals, which includes U18s, so I got that wrong.

95-96 he played the same amount of times as Steve Stone and Dennis Wise. :anguish:

Looking back now, why did no one really like Ruel Fox? I don't really remember anyone liking him, but when you look back at the highlights his goal return was very good, he got a fair few assists and he was always involved.

I've been watching highlights of some matches in 94/95 and he's always involved like. Can anyone remember why no one was that bothered about him?

Saw his debut at Selhurst Park in a Mike Hooper inspired hoop tearing by Joke Kinnears Wimbledon. I suppose the signings of Gillespie and Ginola fucked him up but he was ok without pulling up the trees really.

I think he was just overshadowed by the others, I don't recall any haters. Was a canny player. Montserrat international. I never knew that, is that real or is Wikipedia just fucking with me again?

Ince was superb at that time but he was certainly better than Stone, Wise , Redknapp et al.
