huss9
just feel harvey did so much for the club as a player, captain and manager.
Wallace
Maybe now the club seems to be more receptive to the fans, that kind of thing could be suggested at the next Fans Forum.
Kanji
Aye was thinking the same. In reality the next forum someone should flat out ask about any plans for a stadium renovation or refresh / clean up and upgrades.

It will be seen as dead money to him.

AyeDubbleYoo
Would have loved that tbf. I used to work for Arup, it was class. He also designed Kingsgate Bridge in Durham which (although concrete) is an absolute beaut.
bigfella
Would have loved that tbf. I used to work for Arup, it was class. He also designed Kingsgate Bridge in Durham which (although concrete) is an absolute beaut. The Arup design was by far the best stadium design ever planned on the existing site. It was proposed by the council, to hold 62000 for football, had a motorway planned along the route of present day St James' boulevard, to link up with the central motorway. Office space was to be in the listed buildings on a requisitioned St James' Terrace, the pitch being moved 25 metres towards Barrack Road. The club objected to the multi sport complex to be built under the huge new West Stand, also saying they were broke and could not afford the £300,000 contribution to the estimated £2.5m cost. Instead they went for the much cheaper option, resulting in just the building of the highly unsatisfactory present East Stand.

HaydnNUFC
If this craic about PL grounds being forced to put away fans pitchside, where will they go if that is put into effect next season if we go up? Will it go into effect anyway?

Wallsendmag
The Leazes East corner only holds 1,800 so its not big enough. The West corner is quite a bit bigger as it was extended when the stadium went to 52k. Remember Arsenal fans going there for a League Cup game a few seasons ago because they brought around 3,500 fans with them and the club didn't want to open up level 7. It's the ideal area but it could be an issue being so close to the Platinum Club. http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Tickets/StadiumPlan
henke
The name of the game with this away fans stuff doesn't suit SJP at all, because you want the away fans away from the view of the main TV camera. And pitchside in the Milburn / leazes isn't happening.

henke
For security reasons I don't think you could have away fans in the Milburn. The only bits available are the old paddocks and getting away fans in and out if there would be nigh on impossible.
Danh1
Only real place they could put them is level 4 where they used to be and into the leazes like they did with Arsenal. Derby day etc would be tricky if the away fans were anywhere else really in terms of outside the ground due to where the coaches etc are parked and how busy other parts of the stadium can get.
