Given that summary of the Isak saga is that we could not afford to keep him, when the holy f is progress going to be made:

 

Arsenal - new stadium

Man City - new stadium

Tottenham - new stadium

Chelsea - revamped stadium

Liverpool - revamped stadium

Man U - planning new stadium

Newcastle - took down the SD sign and expanded the shop, some expansion of corporate packages

I didn't realize that the might of the PIF had ticked that one off the "to do" list.

 

I was wrong on Chelsea, they have a 1.5 B project to tear down and rebuild Stamford Bridge in the works.

Exactly.

 

That is why I bumped the post.

 

You can trace the Isak saga right back to revenue being the problem, and by implication a new stadium being absolutely necessary.

 

If we dont get it done, get ready for history repeating with <fill in the blank>.

 

PIF are disinterested most of the time IMO. Still no CEO after almost a year, who does that?

Could probably do with some good news regarding a new stadium right now to help lift the spirits around the club (even though I think we're a really solid group within the players, who are likely feeling really galvanized at the moment). Just more of a big picture optics type thing. Bring us into rendering season our Saudi overlords.

You would think a decision could be made in terms of well we are going, and our aim is to make is approx. this big and it we would roughly like it to look like this. Now we will work on the exact location.

 

Give us something. Hire someone to do it if you cant be bothered. Its called PR, a vision, a roadmap.

Agreed. Think from now until next window there will be a couple of senior appointments and at least some hints on the new stadium plans.

City never had a new Stadium they were already at the ground. Training ground is where City owners excelled

New CEO will absolutely want some oversight/approval of any of the plans as he's the bloke who's going to be responsible for delivering it. So that'll have delayed things a bit.

 

I am totally chilled about the whole thing, these things take years.

NUFC are doing the opposite. Progressing with an actual development in the shadows and only announcing when oven ready to go.

They takes years to build - it doesn’t take this long to establish a scope and purchase a site.

Which would be a first for PIF / KSA and completely against their MO when it comes to large scale civil or construction projects.  Wishful thinking methinks.
