I still think 65k is too small

I agree. Think that was the initial plan. My guess is 70K. Still smaller than what I want but just basing on space allowing and infrastructure and police input etc.

A headline capacity would definitely help in reminding the rest of the country how big our club is if pulling in bigger crowds than 99% of them.

65k is easier to swallow/compromise with than 75k+, for those against the build. Might be when it start that capacity creeps up, or expansion plans start almost immediately. Not too arsed if it's 65k, with potential to expand to 80 with relative ease. 65k and no room to manoeuvre is the real issue.

Tries to make a point that the 3,000 expected turned out to be nearly 30,000, whilst ignoring that probably 90% was actually bitter mackems. Another no mark north east reporter, to join with your mate Edwards

No it doesn’t. It says 3K is the trigger for a enquiry and that was the goal not expected.

If someone is vehemently against a new stadium on Leazes Park then they won't care whether the capacity is 65,000 or 6,500

Yep.

The capacity will solely be based on what is possible physically, what the infrastructure (bus/metro/cars) can handle whilst keeping the police happy as well as the clubs own financial metrics.

No he mentions that 30,000 was received and didn't mention fuck all that they were nearly all mackems fans

That wasn’t your main point though. As for your second point we can suspect that and personally not disagreeing with it but neither I or you can say for certainty they are.

The article could’ve hinted at the possibility I dare say but a very small point of the entire piece which I thought was well put together.

I like to repeat myself ad infinitum 😂 BUT there's enough room to build a new stadium on that Castle Leazes field with reasonable encroaching into Leazes Park in addition.

When the stadium is completed the entire footprint, including the demolished St. James can be regenerated/developed into beautiful parkland.

Stunning walkway upto the ground. Lake and surrounding woodland. Hedgehog heaven

Leazes Terrace with views of Sydney Opera House or the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, herds of wilderbeast sweeping, majestically across the plains.

Keep the NIMBYS content.

Don't know how anyone takes notice of the smarmy cunt. Anyone who says he can't support the team he grew up supporting as he has to give a professional unbias, is just a false cunt.

He kept Chopping and changing throughout the summer transfer period and his reporting on the Osula transfer on the last day summed him up. Fuck him.

Can call him all you want but I have to say the Pie & peas I had at his recent gig were prob the best ive ever had

I’ve head about these people actually now you mention it. I was speaking to a colleague who works in a school in Inverness and apparently there is a bunch of teachers in Scotland who set up like a travel company to buy tickets for games at EPL clubs. Didn’t realise the private schools were in on it, but I know some state schools have based a whole trip around it, Liverpool, Manchester etc

Surely if this was included in some sort of contract NUFC were engaged in then they couldn't just cancel it ?

Reports of the tickets being cancelled and season tickets being suspended surely means something dodgy has been going on ?

Hazarding a guess, like, but I think the contract will have T&Cs

Well your main point sadly has no proof as much as me or you want to believe it hence why I chose to focus on your other point.

It might be, it might something a bit more.

I’m surprised that in a world where everything is a terrorist target, there hasn’t been a publicly know attack at a Premier League match. It wouldn’t surprise me if there is a whole team of intelligence officers dedicated to Premier League games.

At first I thought it was just an ordinary headphone for listening to the match on a radio, but then I thought why have a proper undercover bizzie discrete earpiece when you can just use an ordinary headphone

And he was still sat with it in after the match had finished

(Read that in Limmy’s Dee Dee voice)
