TBH they probably have made a decision right, or at least have a strong direction for a new stadium? They just don't have what they need to confirm it.

Unless they're prepared to be permanently behind the other top clubs there's really no other option.

Unless they are going to reduce prices an increased stadium at 70k would be a white elephant.

Struggling to shift 52k for Leeds and Bournemouth as it is.

Sorry but this is ridiculously simplistic take.

Leeds is a sell out, Bournemouth game is also a sell out minus the returns they have sent back.

Nevermind with the shite weather, time of year and ridiculous amount of games this month which is why take up of what's becoming available will be slow.

A new stadium would be for the next 50 years, not next weekend.

Just let it all play out quietly in the background and concentrate on the team. All I will add is it wont be any bigger than 70k whatever they finally decide/have available to them.

Hopefully not any smaller either. Seems like everyone will have 50k plus before too long.

There’s a stack of tickets available for Leeds at £55 and has been for a few days, they might be re-sales but previously they would have been snapped up straight away.

If we become permanently successful all the points you list above will remain.

I just can’t see demand for 70k bar a handful of games, unless we see a reduction in general admission prices, which as you said the other day isn’t on the cards.

My mate put his on resale and it sold inside 3 minutes - Milburn Paddock. Is it L7 that’s seeing availability?

All over seats in Gallowgate and Leazes as well. All returns but at unprecedented levels since takeover and would previously have disappeared straight away.

It’s not just exclusive to us though.

As I’ve said the first time it happened it happened with Leeds as well.

You can even buy Man Utd tickets for their games as well. My step brother did so for the game against us, and my sister in law is eyeing up tickets to their other games wanting to go to them.

This time of year is going to get people selling their tickets on resale because a lot of games are midweek which is no good for a lot of people. We also have issues with the weather for people travelling, even just being unsure on if you can travel, as well as people having to go away to see family members etc.

We have also already discussed how the 8:15pm KO fucks off most people using public transport, and it’s the same tomorrow.

The fact is, every game has officially sold out this season, ok resale tickets maybe available but it’s not leaving any significant gaps.

I'd rather have a big stadium that sometimes has some empty seats, but everyone who wants to go can get a ticket rather than have a smaller stadium that's always full, but everyone who wants to go can't get in.

And I'd rather have a bigger stadium if it means we can properly shake up the demographic of people in the stadium.

I might be wrong, but since the takeover I don't think we've had a run of so many home games on the bounce, with shitty kick off times, in January when people are skint and the weather is shite. It's bound to affect demand.

And then there's the additional factors of expensive tickets, poor atmosphere, ballot etc etc.

Undoubtedly all factors at play and a new stadium will prove a huge draw when it opens. I’m just not convinced by 70k though, all for a new stadium but I’d rather see it full all the time, or it will be pretty soulless on a cold night in January.

62 to 65k is sweet spot with correct pricing and keeps that intimate feel if done correctly.

Just been on. Could've got 2 tickets together GES. £110 tho but and we need 2 tyres for the campervan, brakes and service AND 2 tyres for the Juke. bills, bills, bills

If you have a campervan then why don’t you sell the house and put the money into NUFC tickets and Merchadise.

Think of the PSR room we’ll have with your £200k+.

If designed well and layout is done properly, a new stadium can't be any more soulless than a sold out SJP on a cold night in January for a run of the mill game.

Don't know how you can face having a Jewk. It must absolutely reek of makems, impossible to wash that stench away.

I firmly believe we should have a section of really cheap tickets available for people as well though, and I mean like £5 for kids and £10 for adults.

Even if we have to hide them behind blue light discounts, local education centres, and even family hostels, and social services etc.

If we do this we could extend the availability on a match by match basis.

No reason why we should ever be playing in front of large gaps so long as the club is being ran well and the right people are being given access to games.

We didn't sell out some cup games in the prior years but extended to 52,000 and righly so, based on selling out a stadium with 16,000 less seats 99.5% of the time
