The new store, at the Gallowgate End of the famous St. James' Park, has been transformed over recent months as part of a significant investment plan, in partnership with adidas.

The club's in-house retail and operations teams have worked, together with adidas, to create a new, best-in-class retail experience. The new store will offer supporters the largest range of Newcastle United kit and official product lines anywhere. Its enhanced layout, increased number of till points, new kit customisation area, alongside immersive imagery and video content, will create incredible retail and fan experiences for all fans.

A new 'experiential zone' has also been added, with a huge 8K LED screen - weighing 1.5 tonnes - and a ten-metre steel replica of the iconic Tyne Bridge installed to create unique, and shareable, moments for all visitors.

The store will open first to The Mags+ membersfrom 2pm-4pm (GMT) on Wednesday. Mags+ members will shortly receive an email with a registration link, and Mags+ members visiting the store will receive a token for a free drink (selected drinks only) to be redeemed at Shearer's Bar. [emoji38]

An interesting first test of the "best in class" criteria.

Yeah, I suspect that they will have said that too soon.

The store itself isn’t as large as some other club stores. Also although they have massively increased what is available (going by online) with New Era, Oddballs, and BRXL, I think we will still be a long way off the merchandise other clubs are offering.

Don’t get me wrong, there have been large scale improvements in our merchandise, and I think people going in will be relatively happy with what’s on offer. I just don’t think it would be ‘Best in class’ levels.

This is why we got Member+

She's off as well. We're gonna sashay down the red (B&W) carpet, check the goods (she'll not sanction any purchase on account of the extortionate pricing) then grab that sweet free pint (selected drinks only) next door.

Big mistake opening it tomorrow. No fucker will be able to afford anything after the budget is announced.

pay day week, everyone will get in there before the budget kicks in

Well we now have a shop. Now just waiting on the stadium, academy and training ground. Maybe they are doing a feasibility study to find out if a feasibility study is feasible?

Maybe the wrong thread but anyone know where I can get a poppy style badge with the club logo ? It's always sold out online.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago at the counter of the club shop so they should have them in there today.

To anyone who goes to Stack before the game - does it get so busy before kick off that they stop letting people in, and if so what time would you recommend getting there before tonight's game?

Club shop isn’t best in class , far from it

Bit of a makeover , but not as expected ?

Edit

I’ve looked at Borrussia Dortmunds and to be fair ours is probably on par.

Not sure how it compares to others (elite clubs)

Often end up having to queue, can only get in via the China town gate side if that makes any sense?

Spurs shop is meant to be best in class, but to be fair, its just big, with some video screens and a bit of astroturf. But it mainly consists of racks of shirts and tracksuits, Dad-Wear stuff with the badge on, and general tat.

Man City is very similar too

Maybe I didn’t realise how average club stores were!

From memory, Man City’s was packed with so much stuff it was difficult to manoeuvre around it on match day, like trying to walk around primark the Saturday before Christmas. Liverpool’s is similar in size but more spread out.

The 2 club shops that stood out to me are PSG, where you walk through on the astroturf and it was set out like a a changing room, with the personalised shirts of all of the players pre printed. The other was Leicester City, which had various bits scattered around, like the flag Vardy took out with a sliding tackle, as well as having match worn shirts in frames for sale.

Maybe they had a change of plans. Was goint to go big on it and then decided that we'll redevelop SJP or move somewhere else soon so might saving up on the idea (and cash) for that? Wishful thinking on my part.

I think they are just limited on space really. Unless you extent into Shearers, there isn’t anywhere else to go.

They should really have kept one of the containers in the Stack back for a small club kiosk with the best selling items.

Went in after the game, much needed refresh and think it's perfectly fine for a club store.

Limited space in St James to do much more, which is probably another tick in the "New Stadium" column tbh.

I've been in the stadium store recently for the NY Yankees, Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and 76ers, and the Chicago White Sox. From Adam P's video the new one looks to be on par or better than all of those.

Tottenham's looks incredible, but considering the restriction of retrofitting an existing space this certainly doesn't seem like anything to complain about.
