Of course it did, they are in the middle of constructing it. Going on as it it wasn’t going to be painted even when it was marked up for being painted and how the region has had half a dozen of these dotted about where everyone has seen how they are constructed. Majority want to remain at SJP but would like to see a more extensive rebuild. The idea of moving may not present as much opposition as first thought. Make no doubt about it, if we touch SJP, heritage England will be there waiting for us to block whatever we do because of Leazes Terrace. They are very good at trying to block planning applications and appealing them, not very good at actually preserving historic buildings, or assisting in the refurbishment though.
