I think he has come out and said this to try and get us to hurry up and agree a deal with psg.

Can't blame him can you. Either meet their asking price, or move on to the next target. None of this "We want £3.5m", "Ok, how about £2m", "We want £3.5m, "Would you take £2.7m?" sh*t.

cant blame us for trying to get a good deal but it really is starting to drag on. That is why Rozehnal has come out and said what he did, to try and hurry it up.

If PSG have set their price though, why waste our time?

Sometimes when a club puts in a bid the player really wants to move and could force the sellying club to accept as wouldnt want an uphappy player on their books.

Rozehnal has said himself though that he'd be quite happy to stay at PSG.

I'm sick of all this back and forth horseshit between agents and clubs, why cant we just do an arsenal and keep things completely on the quiet until they are done with no leakage from agents, players etc, its getting very boring.

Lets just sign the player and do all the negotiations behind the scenes and then announce it FFS

No, were different, this isn't the most boring transfer of the summer so far according to some. To other were cunts for even suggesting this transfer lacks life.

were in the minority here.

We are cunts tbh.

Hard to keep deals in the quiet these days.

In this case PSG and Rozehnals agent were more than happy to make it public so they would drive up the transfer fee and interest.

The best way is to set the standard and walk away from the deal if they make it public. But I guess Big Sam doesnt want to be losing any more of his targets If he can.

Mad how long this thread is! its the stupid part of the year where the majority of fans could care less whether its Gerrard or Ron Jeremys they are so crazed for signings.

I get the impression we're not overly concerned if we miss out on this player. If he was one of Sam's main targets surely we could have concluded a deal by now to ensure no one else came in for him.

I know there's already lots of information for you to consider in this thread, but do you want to hear something really, really dirty:

http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=473208&CPID=24&clid=149&lid=3&title=Sevilla+in+Rozehnal+bid&channel=&

Sevilla have emerged as rivals to Newcastle United for David Rozehnal.

The Paris Saint Germain defender is expected to make a decision on his future on Friday, with Sevilla and Newcastle now fighting it out for his signature.

Borussia Dortmund have withdrawn from the hunt, with Newcastle having offered in the region of £3million for Rozehnal.

It appeared the Czech Republic international would be on his way to St James' Park, following Dortmund's decision to call off their bid.

But Rozehnal's agent Pavel Zika now claims that Uefa Cup winners Sevilla have entered into negotiations.

Zika feels a deal could be completed within the next 24 hours and admits Rozehnal will move to either England or Spain.

He told CTK: "It might be finalised on Friday. David will move either to Newcastle or Sevilla."

Enjoy...

Agent throws another name into the hat, probably trying to firm up our interest. As has been said hopefully we'll find out one way or another soon, this is really starting to drag.

More agent-driven pimping tbh. He'll probably sign soon enough once it's realised this isn't going to get milked any further.

and if he doesn't, he doesn't want to be here enough, end of story.

Magpies '50-50' for RozehnalBy Vasek Kadlec -  Created on 22 Jun 2007

David Rozehnal's agent Pavel Zika claims Newcastle have a 50-50 chance of landing the Paris Saint Germain defender.

The Magpies had looked clear favourites to sign Rozehnal when Borussia Dortmund pulled out of the race earlier this week.

However, Sevilla are now in the running for the 26-year-old and it is understood the stopper may prefer a switch to Spain.

Zika says negotiations are going well with both clubs and expects Rozehnal to join one of the two in the near future.

"With both clubs we are in the final stages of negotiations," Zika told Sport. "David will move to either Sevilla or Newcastle, it is 50-50.

"The negotiations are 90 per cent complete, 10 per cent are still to be discussed.

"As for the progress of the negotiations between the clubs, Newcastle are slightly ahead as they entered the chase earlier."
