Carlisle Utd 1-1 Newcastle Utd - Post-Match Thread

Not good enough. Allardyce has got some explaining to do, I'm getting concerned about this season when I had been so optimistic.

EDIT: just seen we equalised. Solano will have a major part to play this year and I can't wait for the season to start. Delighted with what Sam's done so far.

Is this hefty sarcasm or knee jerking of the highest order?

Allardyce RE: Dyer.

"we'll get together Monday or Tuesday next week and decide the situation, is this true, does he want to move?  Then if so we'll contact the clubs in the paper asking if they were interested".

When asked if he's an integral part of the squad: "Only if he wants to be here"

Dyer and Barton both had the armband this afternoon.

Allardyce has it right in my opinion.

If they dont want to play for the shirt I dont want them here. That applies to all players and is the way it should be

The bloke speaks more sense than any newcaslte manager in last ten years

Still no news on new signings which for me is really worrying the squad is really thin and needs strengthening.

It seems players more likely to leave rather than coming in.

To be fair he wasn't asked about signings.
