I think he means the reason SBR got sacked.

                Harper

      Carr Roz Taylor Enrique

Solano Geremi Butt Smith Milner

                Viduka

?

That'd be extremely one paced and leave Vids very isolated. Hope we don't play that. We don't actually have that much pace in the side at the moment, N'Zogbia and Martins are really the only two we can rely on for pace, discounting Owen and Dyer for obvious reasons.

If the Asian Cup proved one thing, it's that Viduka cannot play up front alone.

SWP would solve pace issue. would butt be replace by barton when fit?

As he showed today, SWP produces very little end product, so while pace would stretch the defense, it doesn't really get you anywhere alone.

Erm you have just discribed Dyer "very little end product, so while pace would stretch the defense" but stretching the deffence would allow slower players big vid smudger millner etc to get in and score remeber Sam like 4-3-3.

I agree but thats the point Wullie. Sam will be looking to slow the pace completely, i can imagine Bolton being really fired up for various reasons so the last thing we want is to come under early pressure. If we can keep a slow tempo early on we can bring on the likes of Zoggy and Martins to liven things up.

We need to be hard to beat before we can be dangerous on the front foot.

SAM ALLARDYCE today completed the £4.2m signing of 21-year-old Spaniard Jose Enrique Sanchez Diaz – and then set his sights on the last piece of his jigsaw in the shape of Serbian defender Ivica ‘Drago’ Dragutinovic.

Big Sam could not hide his delight at getting Enrique on a five-year contract even though it cost him 6m from Villarreal.

:idiot2:

Also..

Allardyce told me today: “When we get Enrique signed it will finalise an excellent few days for us. As far as Dragutinovic is concerned, if it is still a possibility then I will try and pursue it this week.”  :celb:
