I really thought Spurs were going to be right up there this season (and still might be) but the defence could really hold them back.

We certainly look in a much healthier position than NUFC in the long term - most of your new signings should only last a season or two max, and your future lies in the hands of Edgar, Huntington and Ramage.

They're available for £5m each if you'd like to shore up your defense a bit.  :coolsmiley:

Edgar > Dawson.

And Enrique will retire at 22  Barton at 26  and Rozehnal at 29

Also, should add that I think Spurs have missed the boat on Champions' League football with all the "new money" in the league, a lot of teams are catching up to them quickly, while the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool are pulling away. It's not just us who are being galvanised at the minute. They had to do it in the last two seasons under their current stewardship if you ask me, and they just fell short.

If Levy finds them a billionaire and/or if they get the ground extended, I'll start worrying again. I know both might be in the pipeline.

Good point they will regret just missing the CL recently. I have said it all summer but Jol will get found out this year.

Since when did we all become so obsessed with The Yids btw?

To be fair the visiting Spurs fans have provoked a lot of the ridicule that has/will come their way, this began as a sensible thread discussing two potential rivals of ours. I think their pre-match comments have made a lot of people go for Everton, espescially when contrasted with the pre-match comments of our resident Everton poster who was a lot more modest and didn't enter the thread with a defensive attitude.
