Have Blyth S and Blyth Town ever been in the same league before? I'm guessing Blyth Town have always been in Spartans shadow and several divisions back?

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season

Neither have Liverpool tbf. -
I'd take Vardy on a free for a year. still got his pace and allows us to allocate money elsewhere
-
He'll be playing tonight v Barca, if anyone wants to get their hopes up

Leagues for steps 3-6 confirmed for next season Step 3 Hebburn,Morpeth, Stockton and then Whitby and Workington if you want to include them. All 5 would have been bolded in the Sunday Sun back in the day (not seen that paper for about 20 years), although Workington is obviously a long way away for most in the North East Step 4 A shame Dunston just fell short, but Ashington, Bishops, Blyth S, Blyth T, Consett, Dunston, Heaton, Newton A and Redcar all in the same league will be great for travel and transport and getting a few more on the gate. 9 out of 22 is incredible. I was browsing on my phone earlier and had to do a 2nd take as I thought it said Shildon instead on Silsden. I see Brighouse must have had a reprieve as they were meant to get relegated.

We’ll know Sunday night if we beat Arsenal. Villa aren’t turning over a GD of 16!

General NUFC stuff: club crest to be changed (Official)
Checko replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
Got rid of the horible blue. The flag on the Newcastle city crest is a red and while cross so really don't need it. -
His YouTube compilation reminds me of those cat videos where the cat just saves everything hit at it

If this is true, given the minimal outlay, it won't matter what European competition we're in.

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season

Wouldn’t be the first time. -
Eddie said that our targets won’t change depending on CL. Might be easier to attract some though. Players might think differently. Obviously depends on who and what their pathway is to a starting role.
-
Definitely not, tbh i meant more from the player waiting to see what competition we will be in.
-
I reckon he will end up in London either Arsenal or Chelsea. They will pay big wages and neither have a FW1.

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season

We haven't strengthened the first team in 2 years, anywhere in the top 5 is a miracle tbf. -
Not saying this rumour is 100% but I don’t think a £25 mill release clause should totally depend on Europa or CL
-
Also on the players side as well, he may have offers from champions league clubs (Villa and Arsenal apparently want him as well).
-
Yep. We are just over a week before start putting plans into action you’d imagine though maybe due to the priorities and us losing out on a GK twice last season maybe they don’t want to miss out. I agree though. All ifs but’s maybe’s stage still.

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season

We get second or third and he'll very rightly be given the award. -
Off to Napoli isn't he?

And if we finish 2nd, then the runners up ended up never being in a title challenge all season. -
Joelinton is injured still isnt he? Think its a pretty big leap in quality between those that started last game and those on the bench.
-
Body language from the way they interact in press conferences and the way LE talks about EH in the media. Over a period of time anyone with a bit intuitivity could surmise. Whereas he’s well aware of CH…
-
If needed yeah, which to me is if someone else is injured. We're 3rd in the league with him having missed most of the season.
-
Be surprised to see any deals done until we know what competition we will be in tbh.
