The daft fuckers have spent the last few years praising PSR as it basically stops us being able to spend whilst all the other clubs around us can pretty much spend what they want . Now all of a sudden they are saying PSR isn't fair and a promoted club should be allowed a free year when PSR won't hinder them. The gap is too big for them to compete in this league without them being allowed to spend a fortune or they should just spend a fortune like Forest did and take the points deduction if it helps them stop up.

Delap probably thinks he can emulate Palmer who is a recent success at Chelsea. But thats a rarity, the likelihood is he will be on the bench next season.

Same every year, season ends, transfer hysteria begins but everyone and their uncle is away on holiday (unless you're skint Man U who piss off to get humiliated in the far east) so nothing happens for a couple/few weeks. It's the only break they get, especially this year with no proper tournaments going on and yet folks expect it to be like black Friday for footballers.

The other thing I wanna add is I genuinely don’t know why but Longstaff never play well on the left side i.e. Joelintons position. That makes him need to directly compete with Tonali who is fucking world class and absolutely no chance he can win.

Funnily enough I've seen him play in cups as well. Notched a couple of goals against Southampton in a semi final to get is into the Final of The Pub League Cup and, somehow, scored against PSG in The Alphabet Cup as well.

I agree, just like the others said, probably confidence issue. I hope both the club and the player can reach an agreement and give him reasonable salary.

What’s your point? Pretty obvious that he’s better than the normal pub goers. I’ve seen him play in the cups against lower league sides and he has looked below their level. When he doesn’t play regularly he just doesn’t look right mentally or physically the few minutes he plays. Also not good enough to play regularly anymore. Therefore I see no point in keeping him. Sell and invest in someone else.

He's a confidence player - needs to play regularly to build up some form. This current setup of him coming on for the last 15 minutes does not suit him at all.

When Longstaff doesn’t play regularly and only in the lesser cup games he looks like a pub player. He’s just not good enough anymore. Like him though.

I just hope we make a really good solid signing or two early on and we’re not faffing about then moving onto other targets.

Have to remember we have CL football next year too. Longstaff will likely be utilised in the cups and against lesser sides, etc.
