  1. Can't hammer McClaren to much, him being here meant Carver was no longer here and also appears to have gotten shot of the stupid transfer system and head coach position we had in place.
  2. That sounds about the way I see it going. Which is why it's even more ridiculous that this wasn't all done and dusted after the Chelsea game.
  3. I also would trust you more than our medical stuff on current performance by them.
  4. Im not saying he's faked it, I'm suggesting its more not playing through a slight injury for the sake of the clubs PL battle. Well, it all depends. If our physio, would be asking or clearing a player, who relies mainly on speed, to play through a hamstring injury. Then I'd be pretty f***ing concerned. It sounds as if Alli has been playing through knocks at Spurs. I think he has knee and ankle injuries. But every case is different and I'm certainly not a medical expert, on sporting injuries. I definitely think there are players, past and present (Owen, Marcelino) that have either faked injuries or massively exaggerated them. But at the same time, I don't get the logic of some people saying professional athletes should be playing through injuries. It's not quite the same as playing Sunday league. Where 5-10%, isn't going to make a huge difference. It worked against us we played Mbemba against Everton, despite him being injured. Colo looked even more immobile, when he played through his knee injury earlier in the season. It can be to the detriment of the team. Plus, if we played Townsend through a slight hamstring strain and then he tore it and was out for months. We'd all rightly be f***ed off. it was said by McClaren that Townsend wasn't injured he just wasn't 100% fit and for the job he wanted him to do he felt he had to be 100%. Personally with the shite being ditched out by those players who have been playing, I whole heartily disagree.

Or maybe they've finally worked it out ?
  7. In fact lets see how many injured players are fit and ready if Rafa is manager for Leicester. Each of them can frankly fuck off in my eyes if they are.
  8. Injured. Hamstring i think. Relegation battle kicked in. Effects a few of them in the squad. harsh on him. So others have said but I'll be honest I'm past caring about any of the over priced players who claim their love of the game and all that garbage then pull out with slight pulls and strains when we're in the shit. Soft as shite nowadays they really are. He's shown very little in his time here, though he'd want to force his place into the team regardless, doesn't appear to be the case. Like I said he's not the only one, far to many of the squad not up for the relegation battle and have taken the easy option.

  10. I wouldn't be unhappy with that at all, far better than some of the alternatives, like for instance McClaren staying, or some complete relic coming in to replace him. How about that bit
  11. Man U and Chelsea, no. Perhaps Spurs if Poch is knicked. Everton too perhaps. Why would he manage Everton? Aren't they getting bought out by some rich guy?
  12. Keegan after fat Sam. Could not have been more delighted. I thought I had actually got Ashley all wrong. At that point he'd done nowt to be hated for if I recall correctly? It was the whole, Vetere/Jimenez/Wise vs Keegan that started it off. He had inherited Allardyce, given him a decent amount of time, and Mort was saying all the right things. Outside of initially bringing Keegan back, Mort's the only reasonably competent decision Ashley's made in my opinion, and I think that was a fluke. I had worked for the bloke, if you read back to when he (Ashley) joined I said I didn't want him anywhere near our club and it would end badly for us.
  13. Heard this so so many times, noubt changes. And I've heard stuff like this too many times in recent days, too. We're 19th, a mile off 16th and playing progressively worse. We've never been in a situation as bad as this with 10 games left. We were relegated and fans went down with a whimper. The whole nonsense last season was pretty damn close and people were still sticking up for Ashley saying how he's saved us from doing a Leeds and fans still didn't have any real go at them. Many different groups banded together alongside the Ashley Out campaign and instead of all fans standing united they were ridiculed, attacked and abused by many of our own fans who had seen this club for what it was. I blame many of those fans just as much.

  15. This is exactly it. People always say there is no way back for Ashley and whilst he continues on the route he keeps going down there isnt but there is a way back if he changes and this is it, especially now the club has excess cash they can spend over the course of a season. This setup would work and at least allow a bit of common sense.
  16. Is there any reason we're suddenly giving The Express any relevance in their ability to be ITK? I didn't realise they had a good record.

  18. To be fair our caretaker could be Ian Cathro as he's assistant isn't it ? Players will probably have more respect for him.
  19. The only reason he's mentioned is that he's exactly the type of English manager who is low enough rated to come here and work under the current system. Someone like Moyes at least had enough of a reputation built over some time to attract offers from Man U and Spain. Pearson is championship s*** and a bell end to rival Pardew or Souness. Oh no I'm on about fans on the metro to the match and in the stadium not the press. Explaining to each other why this no nonsense bloke was perfect and just what we need.
  20. I've seen far to many Newcastle fans suggesting Pearson. Do they not remember his team as assistant coach here ? He was more or less chased out of the club and blamed for pretty much everything that was going wrong.
  21. How dare we expect the club to spend the money it brings in.
  22. ..."but he's put his hand in his pocket and spent £80m. What more do you want him to do??" etc. Yep, welcome to part of the problem.
  23. 500k per win and a £5m bonus for keeping us up, I'm sure he'd be tempted.
