Not really, the clubs just fucked up. A scouts job is to find players to fit into a structure or to find young players who might come good. He does that, he does that very well. The problem is we have nobody at all at the club who has any plan for how the team on the pitch should play which in return leads to the up and coming players being forced to play first team football all the time. Look at the difference with Southampton and Swansea. They have a similar setup but it works because the manager has final say on players playing in the first tea. Young up and coming players get a chance in the first team but aren't thrown straight in and they have a tactical plan which means they know which players they need and when one goes its easy to replace.
  2. I do not even remotely remember that song. I wish I could return to that state.
  3. Wait till you hear the fake Geordie accent he's been practising !
  4. Could do but then let's face it some of the people who have passed the fit and proper test it doesn't take much.
  5. When cancelling the direct debit for future payments you could also do a direct debit indemnity claim for March & April to get your money back. I doubt the club would chase you for it and as it's not a credit agreement it wouldn't have any issues with your credit profile. Not a bad idea that especially when you haven't received anything that you paid for.
  6. Imagine if all 35k season ticket holders did this. About £25,000,000 worth of annual revenue up in smoke just like that. Fans don't realise how much power they have, that's the problem. Unfortunately some folk will have done what i did and had it on a direct debt which paid the full payment. Been in touch with the club and can't get that refunded so I will have my season ticket next season regardless.
  7. Yeah they'll go the way of Portsmouth and Leeds soon enough, they can't have long left.
  8. Which bit, that its just the start or that's the front page of the chronicle? Just that's the front page of the chronicle
  9. The yellow and green scarves were because Newton Heath originally played in those colours, like the away strip man Utd wore early 90's. Our original strip was the burgundy and blue striped one we wore as an away strip in 1995/96 so Blue and Burgundy scarves is an idea. Man United however jumped on the bandwagon and began selling those scarves in their club shop which defeated the object. According to this http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Newcastle_United/Newcastle_United.htm it was red and white so you can jog on with that idea
  10. Would have to stay same colour, changing the colour takes away the point about the club being ours not Ashleys. In my opinion of course.
  11. Hope everyone is keeping track of all these for when it all goes tits up
  12. His attempt to get another person in. Takes up two seats as well
  13. Really impressive national coverage this is getting - just hope the fans do their part now, there are no excuses any more... What about those who need to get away from their wives for a few hours? Stop in the pub
  14. Second time I've heard someone mention that, what was the last Ashley boycott??
  15. We are stuck with this as well aren't we? Newcastle United buy the shirts from Sports Direct so even if nobody buys them Sports Direct make their money.
  16. Therefore the account only has 38 in it
  17. Whilst I sympathise with the tone of your post I don't agree with that sentiment at all. You cant be slagging fellow supporters because their feelings of loyalty differ to yours man. Some people (Thousands) would feel compelled to attend regardless of What Ashley & co. get up to. I still think we`ve got some way to fall yet before the vast majority feel militant enough to stay at home. My approach to these supporters would be different if they didn't pay for a ticket before sitting there in silence for 90minutes before shrugging their shoulders and going home. If they seeked to protest inside the stadium then hats off, but this blind, apathetic following I can't agree with. Remember that Sheff Utd game at home when Roeder was in charge? I was only watching that on TV but I remember the atmosphere was so hostile and once Webber scored you could feel the anger and disgust from the crowd. There is not a shred of resemblance of that today. Yep I'd agree with all of this.
  18. I don't want to sound too harsh, but there are definitely a number of fans who will attend because the p*** up and the day out means more to them than the club. Honestly think some people don't care what division we're in as long as they can have a laugh. I've heard this a few times and i don't understand it. Surely stopping in the pop where they cheaper drink and the match on telly will end up being a more enjoyable event whilst also supporting the boycott of the match. I just don't understand those who can't miss one single game to support the fans of the club and gain a little power over Ashley. I won't call those fans but I cant' for the life of me understand them. I'm a season ticket holder, my ticket is paid for but I still feel like I can support the cause and hope that my empty seat along with the rest will be shown as a protest on Sky.
  19. Probably because Pardew kept saying he was happy with his squad and I believe before the season started had us targeting CL spot.
  20. Didn't that come from a Rugby fund?
  21. Is that the ridiculous podcast where they slate it but then say they haven't even looked at it?
  22. He'd still manage to spend £30m but recoup £35m
  23. Yeah but only on the website, they still seem to not want to stick it in the paper. Maybe it'll happen closer to the Spurs game.
  24. On after the break by looks of it.
  25. I'm a season ticket holder and I won't be going. Didn't bother with the last home game either. Poll doesn't work on Tapatalk but I'm season ticket holder and won't be going.
