  1. So we're still believing made up stories from the press then ? if she'd backed out of a deal she'd come out and say which suggests the deal hasn't fallen apart. There may be rumours but that's all they are. Nobody has a clue. They arent going to risk the non disclosure to make some press guy happy. It would certainly cost them a fortune if they did.
  2. Rafa mentioned the cost of particular players which we couldn't compete to purchase due to their transfer fees and wages which other teams like Huddersfield and Brighton were willing to pay. This seems to have started this off.
  3. Didn't Douglas take a pop at them the other day? I mean like full blown assault on the club like they did.
  4. I mean he probably couldn't give two hoots about the local press but it often leaks into the nationals. I don't know the answer it was a real question ?‍♂️
  5. Is there a reason the Chronicle haven't gone all out against Ashley like the did to help get John Hall in, other than the fear of upsetting Ashley and him being stubborn?
  6. I do agree though that the stadium shouldn't be moved away from the centre like it is now.
  7. Disagree a bit, I thought the plans for Castle Leazes Moor Stadium were a brilliant idea. I still don't understand how increasing the size of the town moor became such a negative to allow the stadium to be built.
  8. basic gist of it is he thinks 300m is undervaluing the club (380m is what he thinks) and the potential relegation clauses are very unusual and thinks it unlikely that Ashley would accept them, both smart business people and nufc great prospect to buy Not in front of a TV. Who is he ?
  9. Thats the really scary thing, the amount of planning he put into SD and the deals he entered into and the markets he bought from to make the shop a success whilst refusing to work in loans or even advertising up to a point. I just dont see where it all went in his head when he bought the club. I really do think he thought it would just a big laugh and an easy job once he brought in Keegan.
  10. Rafa likes Dummet for his defensive ability and the fact he follows orders well. Because of this he would improve under Rafa so I'm happy if Rafa is.
  11. I knew of and about Ashley following his takeover of the club and made my concerns noted at the time and made my points that I was worried for the club. Unfortunately my worries were correct. I, like most, know noubt about this group but I do welcome them with open arms. They are investing a large amount of money having professionally analysed the club from top to bottom. They have made a point about keeping Rafa in charge and you can only assume that means funds will be made available. Whether this is from the group or by simply managing the money coming into the club better, so it can be spent. Either way this looks good to me. To sit with the current owner and the better the devil you know attitude just follows those who said the same about Pardew. I was fully for sacking that useless bloke and I'm more of the feeling this is right if for nothing else than the famous quote about the definition of insanity. Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. If we stick with Ashley, we will keep going up and down through the leagues and one day, we wont come back up. Change could give us progress. It might not, but I'd like to think we at least tried.
  12. Been a long long time since Aarons played first team, reports from the reserves are he's been worse than useless.
  13. Yeap, the main hurdle which will make it completely unfeasible is that cost of it will likely to be £50m+ which for another 8k-9k seats makes no commercial sense unless we jack ticket prices up and demand outstrips supply. Yeah exactly
  14. Pretty sure it's been shown it can be extended without that land
  15. Sounds like Rafa isn't best pleased with him. He had a pull and he wanted him out of the squad. He went anyway and has snapped it in training. https://www.themag.co.uk/2017/11/rafa-will-fuming-injured-star-breaks-training-country-newcastle-united-christian-atsu/
  16. How is that statement funny? It is blatantly obvious that he should be getting a chance. He's third choice striker and the other two aren't scoring goals. Rafa is an intelligent manager but that doesn't make him immune to making wrong decisions. He also sees things that you don't see, whether on match days or on non-match days. Aye. He's definitely seeing things I don't see if he thinks Joselu is the answer. All that's genuinely relevant in football is what happens on a match day. He might be Neymar-esque in training but when he consistently hits the ball with less power than my nan on a Saturday it counts for nothing. So basically you're seeing faults in a player. The same thing can be said about Mitrovic. I'm guessing Rafa thinks that Joselu is more reliable in maintaining discipline and team cohesion - which is Rafa's first priority. Aye, but my original post was saying Mitrovic is overdue a chance, which isn't an unfair statement considering his goal record is better in the premier league than the two strikers in front of him and we've failed to score in the last couple of games. It's hard to make an argument for Joselu offering better "team cohesion" anyway when we haven't really had any cohesion in an attacking sense lately. This is my view as well. No one is saying that Mitrovic should be an automatic starter, but Joselu is hardly good enough to be getting the nod every week. If you're not performing you should be replaced, and Joselu hasn't performed in his last few games. Mitrovic came on for Joselu against Palace at home. We were winning 1-0 and it was almost full time. We had the ball down the Palace end of the pitch and for no good, useful or logical reason Mitrovic grab one of their players and threw him to the floor and gave away a utterly pointless freekick. Its actions like this for why he isn't playing now I believe. Don't think he's had any minutes since that action.
  17. Don't think they've started yet. They requested scarves to be brought today but that was it
  18. No but he runs the PR side. Both Wraith and Rob Lee are 'Brand Ambassadors' for Richard Energy. https://www.facebook.com/RichEnergy/photos/a.903000593111112.1073741829.880117275399444/1339573552787145/?type=3&theater https://www.facebook.com/RichEnergy/photos/a.903000593111112.1073741829.880117275399444/1058091617602008/?type=3&theater Expect it from Wraith, but lost a bit of respect for Rob Lee for this, like. Yeah but Wraith also runs the PR for Rob so I highly expect as with Pav and at times other Newcastle ex players, he'll also run his twitter account.
  19. No but he runs the PR side.
  20. It wont be him, it'll be Steve.
  21. Who is going to be investigated anyway? I have no idea. Shes suing Barclays if I remember rightly. For $1B. Barclays lawyers already upped and left them which may suggest they are even worried about what is going to happen. None of which I would have known without this smokescreen. Wheres that eye roll.
  22. it's disappointing seeing the likes of Rob Lee getting in on the act. Wraith is Rob Lee's promo as well, just like the unheard of drinks company. Who are now getting RTs as someone like Rob Lee is saying the guy who owns it is believable. It's all nice PR for the drinks company noubt else. Last week Wraith was claiming to be in the know that the deal was going through after being in the photo next to her.
  23. Why would she want to deflect from it ? She sued them.
  24. To be fair, when he was here, we did expect Champions League football or at least to be there or there abouts. I don't believe that was an unfair assessment of our team though. Now though, nah he can fuck off.
  25. Yeah but I think it was only with 5 or 6 goals.
