yes, even in the days when we were good I can remember some pretty dire pre season friendlies which was why I sacked them off years ago. I remember going to Scunthorpe on one of Keith Barretts coaches to watch a woeful 1-1 draw in 1993. Best pre season games were the ones we had in the inter toto in 2001, much better playing competitive games like that than shite tournaments on the other side of the world. Kilcline barely moved in that match. Awful.

While this is true, I don't think that means that we should necessarily want to stay up. Ashley has had plenty of time to sell the club, doesn't look like he's going to. Therefore I'd be quite happy to see him lose a lot of money and look like a failure in public. Agree with this
