  1. Woah there, hold your horses. That's clearly my job!
  2. Fryatt was shite in the championship last season. We've been watching Commons for ages, but I reckon he'll end up at Birmingham or Wigan.
  3. Youtube - Jermaine Beckford goal for Scunthorpe - gash footwork?!!?
  4. I feel for him. I wouldn't get out of bed for that tbh. If he's really on that then he's already on more than a lot of players in the championship.
  5. Why? I don't think he has the talent to compensate for his lack of technique. If our CM next season is Butt-Nolan I'd be very worried. he's got the talent and technique...hasn't got the legs or the players round him to make up for it. Sorry, my comment was meant to read 'he hasn't got the talent/technique to make up for his lack of fitness/mobility/speed. it would be interesting to see him in the championship with a team of movement around him. on those wages and with those questionmarks i'd rather not take the risk though. As a Scunthorpe United fan I'd personally be very happy for Newcastle to hang onto Butt. McCann and Togwell would run rings around him. As a Newcastle fan though, I'd be livid if he stayed and played.
  6. George Boyd too. Is Wilbraham(?) from MK Dons any good? He's ok, but he's an absolute cock.
  7. Based on what? Sheff Utd have played about 10 strikers ahead of him and i think only Beattie got near 20 goals. His record in the championship is 8 in 53. Based on having seen him play live in about 70 matches. Based on seeing the role he was given at Sheff United, after he was signed by a board even though the manager (Bryan Robson) said he didn't want him. He was played completely out of position by Robson, and eventually it lead to his downfall. Billy is severely lacking in confidence in his own game, so wouldn't be a good signing at the mo anyway. He wants to go out on loan for a season to prove himself again (although for some reason he still sees himself as a Sheff United player)
  8. I have a massive issue now, as "both" of my teams are in the same league
  9. Gary Hooper: 28 in 51 What's the comment about Billy Sharp about? Stick him in the right team and he'd easily get 15-20 goals in the CCC.
  10. Blatent attempt at a bite. You can't be serious?
  11. Yeah Butt's not gonna leave, he'll play a major role next season, whoever's in charge. He played a major role in our relegation. If he plays next season, I'm gonna break his legs.
  12. He's f***ing s*** man. Let's not pretend him doing a passable job filling in at left back recently means he's suddenly not s***. Yeah we'll just go out and sign Ribery. He'd be shit at left back fwiw.
  13. Well done. Bored again, are ya? Calm down, I'm only messing with ya. And yes
  14. Butt. Out of football for good. Having said that, he gives me reason to believe I could still be a professional footballer, so it's not all that bad.
  15. I wouldn't have thought so, but Chelsea's midfield aren't getting any younger and they've changed their policy on spending. I'd hope so, he's a fantastic prospect.
  16. Duff will certainly have. Doubt Jonas/Colo etc have though.
  17. He's certainly looking at another year in the Championship. Spoke to him a couple of weeks back about it. I know you'll be battling with at least one other club. Henri Lansbury would be another, although I think they're both going to the same place for a year Scunny? I hope the Rodgers connection with Chelsea would get us Cork, if not Stoch as is rumoured. Cork loved it there. He told me he wouldn't hesitate to go back on loan if the club wanted him. However, I'm sure he'd go back to you if offered anyway.

  19. Scunny's the right side of the river near Hull by the way

    Pay cuts

If we haven't got clauses in, we're in massive trouble. There's no way that the Championship TV money will cover wages at the level they're at currently.
