  1. "What has Kevin done to inspire them?" Erm, nothing, at a guess.
  2. Of all of the teams fighting against relegation, we deserve to go down. Still, we made a few quid bringing Keegan in.

If that's the case, I'm struggling to see why Barnsley can't afford that now. They clearly don't consider him good enough to pay for though.
  4. Championship football is dreadful. It's more entertaining watching league one stuff. I wonder if expectation levels would fall or raise if we were relegated though?

Barnsley to blame I'm afraid. West Brom paid the 60% because Barnsley were having financial difficulties. The cup run means they can now afford to pay his wages in full (you would have thought?). Wonder how much he's actually on though.
  6. I thought the following players would be class: Owen Luque Boumsong Bassedas Glass Oops.
  7. Because im an idiot and i totally forgot him. He goes in now.... I also made an error in not including Given tbf. So you've now got 5 Spurs players in there Chimbonda, King, Lennon and Berbatov. Yeh iv'e got 5 Didn't notice you got rid of "4 game" Hutton. Soz.
  8. Good news at least. Shame that means Smith will play some part, but still....

I think they'll beat us tonight. It'll be a guaranteed 0-0 for at least an hour though.
  10. Finally someone who has seen him play. The step up from league one to the championship is hard enough; do you think he could make the step up to the premiership, or would it be a case of bringing him in for a few years before sticking him in the team?

Personally I didn't see anything in Boumsong while playing for Rangers that made me think he'd do well in the Premiership. Straight from the NE5 school of hindsight. Well done Mick

  14. Hang on, you've just said that only the players are to blame. Are you now adding the fans to that list?
  15. To be fair, I don't think Fulham are our problem (apart from when we face them). They'll still be 5 points behind and we have a game in hand.

aye its him trey cried a lot for him to Osasuna in the summer so maybe he is great I am sure there were Spanish tears in Mallorca the day Marcelino left. I am sure there were Spanish tears in Coruna the day Luque left. I am sure there were Spanish tears in Vila-real the day Enrique left. The difference being that Cuellar has already adapted to the British style of play. Ok, the league is only half as good as the Premiership but it gives him a massive step up on the other players you mentioned. I think he'd be a good signing for any English team, looks a good player. Boumsong was class for Rangers. So was Alan Hutton. He's only played 4 games for Spurs hasn't he? What's your point? What's your point exactly, that every player that anyone signs from Rangers is going to be a Boumsong? Fantastic. No, my point is using the argument that someone looks good playing in the Scottish Premiership does not mean that they will adapt to the English Premiership. Completely different game. Nobody said that. He said he's adapted to the British style of play while acknowledging that the Scottish league is poor, which gives him an advantage over the soft shite's like Luque coming from Spain who are shocked by how physical the game over here is. So he's got an advantage over players such as Vidic then? Players should be taken on their merits, not on where they've played before. If someone said we should sign him because he's a good leader, great in the air and rarely makes a mistake, then so be it. But to say "he'll make a good player for any English club because he knows the British game", well I just can't agree with that. Vidic hardly played in a soft league did he? I don't think there was ever any doubt that a player known for his physical attributes coming from Russia would struggle with the physical side of the Premiership, his point was against the players coming here from Spain. As for taking players on their merits, he's said he looks a good player so that's what he's doing, perhaps you should judge the player on his merits rather than using the predictable "Boumsong was class in Scotland" comment. I've not even commented on the player FFS. I was commenting on his post. OK, I'll reword. "Personally I thought Boumsong looked class for Rangers, but despite looking like he could adopt to the British game, he failed here. What does Cueller bring to the table which Boumsong didn't?"
  17. Allardyce sent the team out against Fulham to not lose, he did the same against Derby, Reading and Wigan to name another 3, he's responsible for how we played as much if not more than the players. He's responsible for the performances of individuals? Like I said, when a player fails to make even a simple 5 yard pass, they are to blame, not the bloke sitting in the dugout. Who needs a manager then?
  18. I don't think you can quite make your mind up on whether footballers should just be sent out on the pitch without coaching, or whether or not they should be picked based on how many marks they score out of a total of 40. At least be consistent

  20. I'm gonna create a thread called "players I like the bestest". Sweet jesus, I know times are hard at the moment, but why are the threads so poor too?
