Has Martins ever used his pace in a match?
-
I'd put at that the other way round. All about opinions I guess.
-
It'll get shouted down mate, despite being the correct order I noticed Gerrard was fantastic again last night. How long before he's dropped?
-
:D
-
Not exactly happy days all round though. We'd end up £2m down on a player who couldn't get in our team, and he'd end up playing reserve football.
-
I think they should call time on Beckham's England career now. I think even Milner would have offered more threat last night.
-
We'd have to pay three times as much and end up with half the talent though. There's only 1 (well maybe 2) players on that list worth looking at.

Would have been easier to sign him if Solano hadn't left. Why did Guerrero leave Bayern in the first place btw? I think he wanted to play first team football, and he was getting sick of being left out because of Makaay and Pizzaro. He's been benefiting from the move a lot. Developing nicely for HSV. Well if he asks Nobby about us I don't think he will hear too bad things. But of course a deal would have been easier with Solano here. Anyway, he's the kind of striker we need sooner or later. Scores every kind of goals, physical, pacy enough and hungry to prove himself at a higher level. Yeah he's always looked good when I've seen him, and I think he's the level of player we could certainly attract.

what would premiership crowds be like if it was £10 to get in. it's far cheaper in germany to go to football and good on them for having it that way Agreed, but thats also the reason it doesnt have the talent of the premiership! I would happily swap having the 'talent of the premiership' for having 10 quid tickets and safe standing. football would be miles better. Why don't you just support a league two team then? It's not even that much cheaper in the lower leagues in this country. I don't know how much you pay at Scunthorpe but I went to Hartlepool vs Yeovil on Monday and paid £18 to get in, standing. Would have been even more expensive had I been sitting. Absolutely scandalous and pretty typical of the prices at that level. IIRC Leeds are still charging Premiership prices. From that point of view, it's no the wonder kids would rather go glory hunting - you can get into Old Trafford for £25. That's a tiny rise in price for an astronomic rise in quality. £15 to stand up. £13 per game if you have a season ticket (I think). I take your point though, I used to pay about £3 to watch Scunny every week (the football was awful though, even beating Newport County 4-1 was a terrible match )

Why don't you just support a league two team then? because league two isn't of the standard og the german league. And he already supports Newcastle. Aye! The reason I support Newcastle is that I was born in north shields and was brought up on it - didn't feel like i had a choice in the matter, just like most other supporters! We don't start supporting them because we are attracted by all the good players playing in the premier league (which was still a good few years off when i started getting into it btw). I just find it strange how so many football fans these days moan about how good it used to be, when stadiums were shit (but at least you could stand up, eh) and things were much cheaper. Football is a lot more enjoyable these days, no matter who you support. As for the comment about the camera, who cares if someone wants to take some photos at a football match?

John Terry is the best English centre back in the league. Ferdinand and Woodgate make far more mistakes.

This thread's not about N'Zogbia. mackems.gif If N'Zogbia is our best player then we should be ready to play in the Championship next season. You might as well of said Emre

Get some Vangelis on.
-
He's closer to home playing for Spurs than he would be playing for us.

He played 3 games in a row in December didn't he? Probably just didn't notice him on the pitch. Amazing to think that Pele thought he was one of the best 125 players still playing.
-
I'd rather try for Lampard then.
-
Stephen Carr - Gilmore's Groin What? Very common injury.
-
Bollocks. Had 12 injuries in November and December for a start. really? like who? i remember having 15 players out all at once at one point under roeder http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/clubs/16/newcastle_united_injuries.html Well that ends that thread then.

Brilliant if you ask me.. Hardly Catenaccio though. Looks more like an attacking line-up to me (which is the right way to go too).
-
Why would Huddlestone come here out of interest?
-
I don't know football is football it's great just playing games in general. Sadly these days kids spend more time practicing to play rather than actually playing, especially in academy setups and it must be bloody hard when you know you're under the microscope and there is a pressure to succeed when so young. Gutted for them. "Real life" is much easier.

I agree with you 100% but one thing we do have is N'Zogbia who has both pace and creativity. He won't be here next year Let's hope not. We could replace him with someone who actually does something.
