  1. Because hes a legend, and if Ashley wasnt a controlfreak he'd still be here. Debateable to be honest. (the second part, not the first)
  2. Why would Everton want Barton too? Because their midfielders are all playing up front.
  3. Are people not missing the point that we need 2 strikers? Comparing Martins to Owen is pointless unless they're playing for one place.
  4. I think it's because we're a club obsessed with looking back.
  5. In the last 16 games in 2004/2005 we gained 18 points. You don't think we can achieve the same?
  6. no, Im gonna start a,....Im too young to know what went on at Newcastle before 1992 , and therefore my opinions on Kevin Keegan , are based on hearsay only thread. We should re-sign Chris Waddle. Discuss.
  7. Relegation would be a good thing for HTT, as it would put him one step closer to buying the club. If Newcastle get relegated, I can't see them coming back up for years. It takes a stable club to gain promotion at any level of the game.
  8. I think it's because we read that line every single transfer window, and we always end up thinking it was a wasted opportunity. It just gets a bit tiresome.
  9. So people are still blaming all of this s*** on Shearer? Jesus christ, nobody even mentions him anymore. Man United still sing songs about Roy Keane. Is it killing their club? Get a grip! Are Roy Keane or Cantona or Solksjaer ever mentioned in line with the man united job when fergie hints at retirement? Are they f***. Shearer is, and its f***ing embarrasing. Until he has a little stint here, and fails, we can never truely be rid of it. So we've got Kinnear because people are worried that fans want Shearer? Absolute rubbish. Wtf, how does what i said amount to that? Shearer was a player for us, and great one. AMEN, let's put him to bed. Small time mentality. Well the main problem we're facing is nobody wants to manage the club. You've hinted that it's because of the shadow of Shearer (if that's not what you mean, what the hell do you mean?)
  10. I was actually waiting for that. Didn't think it'd be first post though The peabrains always dive in without thinking. Easier to mock than discuss, ergo..... Is it actually a serious discussion?
  11. On the other hand, Spurs might sign players left right and centre and then get relegated. Splashing the cash doesn't mean survival. They also don't have a complete joke of a man for manager for the foreseeable future Debateable
  12. Ask yourself that about every single quote he gives the papers.

  14. Maybe they've taken out a contract on him, and he miss-heard?
  15. I defended Ashley vehemently for so long that being let down feels much worse. Couple that with paying for the three years of ST money up front on the basis of the euphoria and promise of Keegan coming back and I feel like a proper mug tbh. I don't disagree with you, and I'd feel a lot worse if I'd bought a season ticket too. I sometimes forget how much some of you invest in the club. I'll go back to moaning about Scunny United for a bit instead

  18. I reckon our fans could help out on the pitch tbh. Pretty sure at least one of them will be better than Nicky Butt.
  19. Aye, it's weird. If we really wanted him why not just do it properly last time? It's not as if his stock has risen since the end of November. Has ours dropped a lot lower though? Potentially, aye. Well if it's true, I'm jumping on your bandwagon. I have one? Let's just say I noticed a big change in your style of posts when Kinnear was appointed
  20. wigan signed him 1 year ago for £770,000. steve bruce Arsene Wenger knows how to find a bargain. I never did understand that story. Why did Wenger recommend a player to Birmingham?

  23. I honestly don't see the point of offering him a new contract before seeing how he does this season. It's nonsense.
